lol no alliances/empires are bad, there philosophies and ideas of fun arent bad

it is however some of the people who are in these alliances, they cause the problem not the the actual alliances or empires


all we can see from this thread is the first rift in the empires and it happened on FUALL's side first, it is likely to happen to both sides through this, but iam just waiting to see the extent of this rift.

The vikings where better organised then most people think, just like the 'barbarians' who defeated the roman empire.
How could these 'barbarians' defeat a mighty empire? yes, they were better organised then the roman books tell us. (those are from the roman view, ofcourse the others are ruthless and barbarian if your empire gets attacked by them , maybe in the barbarian view the romans were the barbarians (is barbarian a word? ))

same with the vikings, they made good moves, conquered alot of land. they were organised.

Well Vikings are the only true undefeated people we didnt lose or fall because of war. But yes we where far more tactical than many thought of us and it didnt help our enemies that Vikings never feared a enemy nor did they runned from a fight we did retreat to regroup but unlike other armies even when they where loosing moral never felt they never startet to flee. It was a honour to die in badle and go to Valhalla and Odin.

Rome was inefficient in managing its territories. Hired low grade mercs, let the population decay. If Rome had been so efficient in managing it territory than why did the western half decay so much more rapidly than the east?

In addition, if rome, it's emperor and the senate hadn't been resting on it's laurels, the decay would not have happened as severely as it did. Figureheads and do nothing politicians let the city slide....thus letting the barbarians have their chance.

Well actually the Vikings suffered numerous defeats throughout their history, one of the more famous at the hands of the Saxon King of England in 1066 AD, shortly before the Norman invasion from the South.
