I'm all for cutting out the rudeness on these forums, hence why I joined respect group...but hey...there are limits to "rudeness" lmao!!

I propose a change to the rules/guidelines: all racist slurs are to be edited out with "sorry, i am an idiot" cause everyone who needs to sink that low IS definitely an idiot.

For my case, I wouldn't. Simply because in my country racial slur is punished by law (yes already many people been punished for it, glad there's a justice somewhere!).
Yes what AGA said might not fall into law punishable style, but still, what he said doesn't deserve respect at all to blame Jack for his edit!!

Again, modding someone by insulting him is hardly action a mod should do. You guys need to get over the fact who was modded this way. We all don't like AGA. But yet, a moderator should not insult them while modding. Mod should set an example and strive to it.

Yes, people make mistakes, as nobody is perfect, but Jack has failed trust of many people. He will be frowned upon because of his lack of tact. Because of forum admin being corrupted, biased, favouring in his friends and those who generally only agree with him, and being poor excuse for a forum admin overally.

People will get fed off you one day or another, i assure you. And the day you two leave will be the day that people with having tact, respect and feeling for what fair is will celebrate.

Actually as a member of respect group you should show respect others no matter if they deserve it or not. Just because people dont show and dont deserve it doenst mean you need to be like them does it??

If you cant treat others with respect as you want to be then why should you be treated with respect?? Its wrong to think like that.

Respect is earned yes but just because you dont find it they earn your respect you still should respect your self not to sink as low and down to their lvl.

By doing what you say there and Deni surgest you your self are disrespect ful. And tbh i found the Surgestion done by Deni poor taste my self.

If a user is as bad as AGA is yes he deserves the warning yes he deserves the karma getting to him but that dont mean we should sink to that lvl and become as bad which we are by doing this. No a bad idea and bad thing.

Damn it one wrong meet with a wrong dont make it right. Never has and never will.

If it takes me stepping down to point out the obvious problem with Jack being a mod/supermod then I will gladly give up my position as a mod to hopefully help this forum get a supermod that will be suitable for the role.

I took on the job as a mod to help keep the forum running smoothly. Since Jack has joined the mod team there have been countless threads regarding him being appointed without a vote on the position... Him then appointing another mod.

I feel Jack has caused more problems than he has solved.

this is the ideal thread for all forum users/mods to post what they think and I really do believe they should.

Just because someone breaks the law doesnt mean law doesn't apply to them. Otherwise they would just execute murders without a trial. The forums dont run on an eye for an eye system. You have the law enforcers (mods) if someone breaks the rules the mods should intervene and punish the individual. But if the mods go above and beyond the rules they are also breaking the rules they should not be immune and should also be punished.

Same time before anyone says anything i would like to remind you about Rule 2 section E:

e. Posting for banned users.
Posting for banned users is too hard for the moderators to police and as such is permitted; however if you post for a banned user you take full responsibility for the content posted.

Consequence:
Should the content breach any rule then the consequences will be applied to the account posting the content, not the account it was posted for.

Nothing in this post breaks a rule.

Sorry I don't respect certain kind of people because that's beyond my principles, many people just CANNOT deserve respect! And to the "don't be like them", as far as I know I supported Jack's edit, I didnt say something bad about Australians (AGA is from what I know) like AGA did about black people to REK (who isn't even black, note to AGA...). If I INDEED acted same here, I'd have done nation slur. I didn't. And wouldn't.

As I said, Jack's edit was way above his level. Calling someone an idiot CANNOT be compared with saying to someone "you're as stupid as the average black person" or something similar. NOMATTER forum "level" of both! If you can, good for you, but it looks like we don't have same vision of the world then...

Sorry then, I can't be respectful with everyone. There are people who just don't deserve it. Why treat everyone equally on this special case? That would make respectful ones feel that it's useless to be as unrespectful ones have to be respected as well, kinda make feel injustice to respectful ones, doesn't it? Don't forget that point!

@TheRook: I don't really see your point at beginning with murders being unpunished...
I never said they should be that way. Otherwise I'd have objected against the fact Jack modded the post, which is totally against my believes here. Since I support the "you are an idiot, you racist!" As racism is nothing more than idiotism. I said it, say it, and will say it as long as I LIVE! (well I say words less "polite" but not here since I'm on respect group on these forums)
And about mods breaking the rule, well I don't think Jack broke a rule.

this is utter ridiculousness. this is not the first time I have seen jack act out of line. In fact when others tease a little he stepps in and tells them to stop then acts arrogant and insults someones intelligence, which in my opinion is a insult within itself. Jack should be at least suspended from his role as a mod. He does act far beyond what his postion is and fails to obey rules, it show that he thinks and feels he is above what those are.

I'd just like to point out that Jack and I had a chat before this thread was started. Here's a few points to remember.

* We discussed how this was not particularly appropriate and Jack agreed that he should not have done it and he won't do anything like it again.

* We are discussing in consoltation with the other mods and ombudsperson a moderator code of conduct which should make future issues like this easily resolvable.

* There is no question the person who made the original post was very inappropriate.

What happened here was not ideal and should definately not happen again, but please lets keep it in perspective. Someone who was being a jerk got their own back. Removing Jack as a mod would be a gross over reaction and be a dangerous precident for other mods. Everyone makes mistakes, let's cut him some slack.

Clearly you decided a long time ago that your choices/decisions were final and you clearly care little about the forums.

I gave 2 weeks notice before I would resign so that a mod for ascended could be found to replace me. You decided I should be removed now and let someone else on the mod team pick up modding of the ascended section...

cutting someone slack is one thing when its done once maybe twice, but multiple times is OUT OF LINE. and nice pluralization you obviously are aware its been done more then once. personaly I do think removal is out of order, but suspension for a period of time seems resonable.

i think one reason people may be giving him little slack is

i dont know how hard he has been on 2 recent mods that were dismissed

and how many feel he got his power in the first place

i believe he should be removed myself

A leader is suppose to lead by example, according to Jack, his words and example its ok to call someone an idiot, does that mean I should post in every thread calling the last person that posted an idiot? or would I get several warnings and a ban?
