What is wrong with discussion of the the Mod situation?
this locking of topics and issuing of warnings because people are wanting to discuss and ask quesions, is Nazi-ism, it is the same thing that Hitler did to silence his protesters.

mod consequences/punishments/warnings/etc are not public domain - its dealt with by the mod team in the mod forums/chats/etc.
thus - this can stay locked.
and from now on, internal mod stuff, will stay internal. no need to have team management a 16page public forum topic
the community can use the feedback mechanisms, ombudsman, etc to address issues... as it was intended.

And that post, my friend, is idiocy. Why do I keep expecting better of you? I wonder how you can have me have such a lot of respect for you, if this is your current style. Then again, people change. Some for better, others for worse.
You're both cutting short on Nazism, and current style of 'ruling'. Nazism is and is about much more than silencing people. To suggest that everything you perceive as 'silencing' (strictly, just keeping order) is 'Nazism', is ludicrous. Nazism is an ideology. Ideologies cannot be deduced from moderating policies on some internet forum.
You're cutting short on the style of 'ruling', since it is intent on preventing the issues from escalating outside of the Mod Team. Internal issues are, by definition, internal, hence not public. The public has, as a result, no business with the internal issues of the Mod Team. Should internal issues arise to have public effects, such effects should be censored and the issue policed to fit back in the 'internal issue' definition.
All that said and done, your point is offensive, understandable, and false.

I'm of Jewish descent and I do not appreciate the Hitler/Nazi remarks, by the way. Once Jack murders somebody in cold blood, then you can try to use that excuse. Until then, please don't.

Re: What is wrong with discussion of the the Mod situation?
I don't think it was called for to lock the original topic.
By Jason's view, it should have be dealt with via the ombudsman... who has exactly 0 power to do anything to help this situation.
It's hard to expect a community to trust in you and have faith that you're commitment to the job, or position when you constantly make questionable decisions and follow them up with a "opps, my bad" sort of attitude.
Can the ombudsman really clean up this mess?
Is it really his job?
Bill... what did you get yourself into

It's not a matter of luck; it's just a matter of time.

I think the original thread should be unlocked and Bill can use it as for the case raised with him against Jack.
It can also be used as a place where people can discuss the topic in the ombudsman form without overloading that thread for bill.
