Pention for the removal of 'an us" from the filters

well it is used in a derogitary way, but the thing is "An us" is used in a sexual meaning and as impressionable children play the game it is indeed unsuitable for them to heard. would you like your child under 10 to know all about anal and stuff like that?

1. i doubt ANY child under 10 would be able to play this game, sorry.

2. children that young also watch things like family guy. plus if they have older siblings theyre most likely exposed to it already. if you're so concerned, why dont you ask the admins to make a 10 and under section for the forums?

3. if the parents of the children are concerned, dont let them on the forums/on the game.

4. these words are used to poke fun at people. i doubt anyone here can say they havent poked fun at their friends with "derogatory words".

my thoughts.

The owner has chosen to market it as a family game. People of all ages play it and that's the way he wants to keep it.

I think it's a bit rediculous.. It's a proper term even, not some vile vulgar slang word.. it's a word that could even potentially have it's merit in being said. I'm sure there are people in Janus and FUALL alike that think a little jest at the name of an alliance's name won't kill anyone. There are words that are worse than it that are not filtered, and nor will they probably ever be.

Oh, and I'd sign the petition...

Oversensitive:
- unduly sensitive or thin-skinned.
- Extremely or excessively sensitive.

This topic is breaking the very fine line between them in my opinion. There is nothing wrong with the word. If you're going to remove a scientific name for a body part and place them in the filter category you might as well remove all of them. - Oversensitive. If used in a non-insulting manner the words should not be removed.

Thought you guys were here to play SGW? Maybe you should look at what FS is doing and be more like them.

Yes but taking that risk is another matter, how would you feel at a young age, having 'innocent' ears and become to words and imagines of sexual nature. with the curiocity of the young the will type it into google then they will no longer be innocent.
