One man's provocation is another man's preemptive strike.. personally, I prefer the preemptive strike. But I can see how you would be.. what's the word, antagonised. Taking the condition in mind that this game is a war game - sorry to play that card - preemptive strikes are a great tactic. Especially when you are ahead, as Owned has shown to be.

And no, I did not expect you to cry over one wave.. nor do I expect you to change your mind about Owned. Surprise me? :P

Oh, and please do also surprise me by actually giving Mikgamers words a second thought and make a proper reply to them, instead of "red-zoning" them? ;) Would be a great show of leniency and sportsmanship, the qualities you wish Owned would show more of.

Re: The Owned Alliance, a point of view

war game yes.

Its a war game and that forge there wars by:

Indicative bullying techniques through flaming and gloating and general unkindness. Insults if you will, and purposeful ones.

To whom? Players in general, out side the owned alliance, of which disagree with the provocative attitudes exploited by the alliance and its members. 8)

Possible Tactical reasoning?

To cause fear, and Neglect, for there advantage.

Playing the bigger fish. A.k.a Targeting small alliances rather then the alliances of the same size etc...

I'll take this wave for example. We massed DoC, they were the rank 2 alliance before massed. What more do you want?? Us to mass ourselfs?? Kikaz already said that ealier today and you either did not read it or failed to comprehend it as you still believe we only take on "smaller alliances that stand no chance against Owned."

Re: The Owned Alliance, a point of view

lol, typical behavior. Ummm let see.

Your posts comprehend, to the expectations specified in the the post. Therefore theres no reason to reply to irrelevant flaming.

And your points fail. Massing an alliance before the one month mark, doesn't really affect tho over all outcome. You mass for attention, but you probably only received what you perceive as a reaction from your own members.

You think I'm complaining about being massed, when really I'm standing up to the manner in which you do it.

Learn the difference.

Theres some quick reasoning to why your posts mikgamer match the expectations outline in the start of the thread, further proving my point on you behalf.

And I don't no-life the forums like your, making a stupid insult where ever i go  Better things to do while occasionally posting to valid points, not rubbish you find on 2 dollar websites

Solution mikgamer? get over it

Btw, go make your own actually interesting post, and see how well you can keep up with the replies before you loose a brain cell reducing you to 5......providing that you don't receive one word answers  |

Re: The Owned Alliance, a point of view

Owned go to war for no reason, and have done for many waves.
They have been called bully's and worse for it. It has been their style of play, and it is expected of them.
They contain a group of players who are good at the beginning of the wave, and use that to their advantage by massing whoever they can about this time through a wave.. and continue to do so throughout the wave.
The larger players in quantum are good at rising above the "Owned Problem" and getting on with their waves. Each person does this differently.. by being friends with Kikaz.. or not farming Owned.. or, as I have done, just ignore them and treat them like every1 else, and dealing with whatever came my way.. which wasn't much.. if I'm honest.

MY OPINION is that Owned recruit anyone.. and doing this they know they wont be getting the best players each wave. They are having an alliance made up of mediocre players and a few players who are good at the start of waves. So once the start of the wave is over.. they fight anyone they can, and do as much damage as they can because they know they will not be able to compete with the truly skilled players in quantum.
So once they have gone on a rampage, and have had their fun.. they have an excuse for not winning waves, but still get some fun out of each quantum wave. It is unfortunate that their fun comes at others expense.. and even more unfortunate that they seem to pick on alliances which aren't the most organized.. or do not contain members who will fight a long, pitched battle.
They get their thrills from massing players who are doing well, and probably have not done as well in the past, a lot of the time driving them from the game entirely. Thereby stopping the growth of quantum in general, and probably stopping those who may have the potential for greatness achieving that.

Quantum has seen the same players at the top for many many waves. I see Owned as perpetuating that, but I do not think they are even aware of it.
END OPINION

Now, the top section.. is what i view to be fact, and if I'm wrong then please correct me.

The 2nd section section is my opinion, and i welcome discussion on it.

Wow ammazing another hypocrate comes to flame Owned.

Quoting the last part of your post were you attempt to be a good little poster because you remembered you were a mod.

"Be civil to each other..."

Yet you insinuate that Owned. are only good at the begining of the wave and go on throwing out most insults, knowing full well that and every part of your "opinion" is an insult and can easily bring on a flame war here.

And this is not my opinion, but a fact...we have many many MANY lulz at the expense of fools like you who take this game so seriously .

Re: The Owned Alliance, a point of view

I'm not going to lie. I was massed by Owned! I didnt enjoy it dont get me wrong! lol But I will live on in Quantum! After I was massed I messaged them that I had changed my style of play they noticed this! I received nothing but kind words from all those involved in my massing. They in my mind may seem like pointless massers or warmongers but they are just playing the game! If you respond to them in a positive manner and try to better yourself over the issue than they will most likely have nothing but kind words for you as well!

So from my outsiders perspective...Owned are an example of how everyone should play quantum! I mean heck its only 3months per era! Have fun while you can! I am sure Owned is not changing what they do cuz they have fun doing it and why play a game if you do not intend on having fun! 8)

There is usually some reason, but I will not argue about this for now.

S1eepy wrote:They have been called bully's and worse for it.

True.

S1eepy wrote:It has been their style of play, and it is expected of them.

I would hope it would, by now.

S1eepy wrote:They contain a group of players who are good at the beginning of the wave, and use that to their advantage by massing whoever they can about this time through a wave.. and continue to do so throughout the wave.

Indeed.

Define "larger player" then I'll reply to this paragraph, because all I would do right now is flame it badly.

S1eepy wrote:MY OPINION is that Owned recruit anyone..

Wrong, ask anyone who has ever been in Owned. there are certain requirements I make to keep people in the alliance, if they cant keep up then they are removed and 99% of the time arent let back into the alliance.

Before this wave, EVERY single wave, membership to the alliance was closed PERIOD after the 2nd week of the wave.

I no longer do much recruiting at all, 20 of my members have been with us for years. Theres about 10 every wave that join those numbers for that wave.

S1eepy wrote:So once they have gone on a rampage, and have had their fun.. they have an excuse for not winning waves, but still get some fun out of each quantum wave. Sorry if we have a different idea of fun then the rest of you.

I get my thrills from massing players who train more then 50% of their army into massable units, or put enough NAQ into defense weapons that if they blew up there wave would be over.

If someone doesnt like how I play the game challenge me ingame rather then the forums.

I invite everyone who feels this way about my alliance to do this.

Stop crying on forums because you got massed in a WAR game, 2 months untill next the reset if you cant challenge me in that time period take it to the next wave.

Kikaz

Re: The Owned Alliance, a point of view

Im done discussing this, I do not accept your purposed peace treaty via ingame PMs which will all be shared at the bottom of this topic.

Im at war with alot of people from the day a quantum era starts to the day it ends, good luck finding me at a time when im not.

As to the flaming comment, with all the insults you've thrown at my alliance in the past day on these forums alone, you dont have much right to make this request.

As to the second PM, respect from me is earned, you have yet to earn it.

As to your third PM, thats your choice.

I'll see you all in the game,

Kikaz
