Well I just ascended half a day ago and my UP was reset to 566 raw, so I figure it scales as you ascend? Or has it changed?
But anyway, go here:

"Amount of Naquadah required to upgrade unit production from 0 to 50000 is 2,083,125,005,000.
Multiplier to enter: 16666."
"Amount of Naquadah required to upgrade unit production from 0 to 100000 is 8,333,083,335,000.
Multiplier to enter: 33333."
The initial 5,000 or so would be negligible anyway.
Question about UP costs....

Just used Lego's calc to plan my ascension. It's nice to know the first thing you need is ~2trill naq, without even bothering with your spy levels.
