Question from an isolationist

is there some kind of war going on in ascended? my rank is getting higher than I would expect (seeing as how I deliberately keep it low by having no offensive weapons). my defensive rank is pretty high, and I've been working on covert/assassin recently, but I would not think this would account for going from (the last time I really checked) ~1200-1300~ to its current top thousand ranking.

dont worry, just post your ascended id and this problem can go away fast

to FEARLESS - yes, I can believe there is a war going on. it'sn't that hard to believe at all. after, just look our species as a whole - very warlike.

just to check - assassin is sort of the offensive version of covert, right?

Yeah, assassins are used to destroy military and/or coverts, plus defend against similar attack from the enemy.

ahhh. well, if they are also defensive then I can't go and get rid of them. wouldn't be the smart thing to do.

alot of players also drop there covert, all the covert actions seem "pathetic" on the ascended server so its unlikely to see somebody using covert actions on you if you have no covert. Having no assassins on the other hand is kinda a different story :wink:

Yes but having a very low covert will let people see your dmu all the time .... which is NOT a good idea.

Unless someone has a few quads in weapons (not even sure if it's possible, if forum fixed the long integer "bug") .... sabbing is completly useless ..... unlike assassination you always lose 5% of your agents and even if he has no covert planets you can't just send 10 planets cause you won't do enough damage to the weapons.
