Ascension "PPT/Bonus" - Choice

I ascended today, and ran into this little thing called 'PPT'.
I would like to suggest the following:

Instead of giving people a 48 hours PPT, give them the option to pick between a Naq bonus, AT bonus, UU bonus or those 48 hours of PPT.
Numbers and all aren't my strong suit, but that can be contributed to by suggestions etcetera?

Just launching a balloon.. any ideas or needles?

the choices are good. like you, i prefer not to doodle with numbers. the good thing about the PPT after ascending is that you get to have a free break from the game. Gives you time to refocus.

basically when you ascend you're just getting a $20 SS, and that comes with 260 bil and 2.4k at's and 300k UU, without ppt that would be taken pretty quick

well, you're online anyway, and if you keep it quiet, no one will know. so, auriel's suggestion has a point. myself, I'd prefer the PPT, because, you also have a point and for the opportunity to take a break from the game.

what about if you take another option you get a 2 turn ppt so that you can get all in order then move on

why? you can break a 48 hour ppt anyway. why settle for a 60 minute ppt when you can have a 48 hour ppt that you can break anytime?

Because having that 48 hours PPT means you don't have something else of equal value.

Anyway.. I'd like to read the reactions of other people.
(Weiland, an interesting line of thought, but not congruent with my idea; what are the merits of your idea as opposed to mine?)

personally, i prefer a 48 hour ppt. it gives me relief knowing that my account is safe for 48 hours at least. if i time my ascending correctly, i can be on a 10 day ppt. for 10 days, i won't have to frantically log on to SGW to bank my naq and train my UUs. this will allow me to save enough that i can purchase massive upgrades that i wouldn't be able to do if i had to keep on banking my naq with my small bank space (120b at the moment).

the other bonuses that accompany the ascending ppt bonus are also very helpful because you have some resources to start with.

on the other hand, if we are allowed to choose ascending bonuses, being able to get extra naq or uu will help out a lot in building miners or UP. it all depends on the players' personal preferences. it would give the players more versatility in charting the course of their accounts. although, i still see the two turn PPT as a useless alternative to the 48 hour PPT unless the 2 turn ppt is added to alternative bonus packages.

i think wat Auriel is saying is fair enough...id rather an extra bonus that i can spend instead of what can sometimes be a fairly usless PPT. Remember hes only suggesting an option to do this..not a complete switch? i think its a pretty good idea

It helps someone rebuild after ascending.


If it were to change it should be that you get the PPT and the you can choose one of the other things.

I was thinking more along the lines of a current market PPT's worth at first, actually, but that would indeed be nothing compared to what an average income of 500m Naq/turn gives you.

Then I got to thinking and thought:
For the SS upgrade, 260B Naq = 2.4kAT = 300k UU = 20% bank increase = 10 days of MPDSD = 48 hours of PPT (After all, this is what one gets when ascending; also UP but with the sliding cost scale that would be too hard to calculate.)
So, how about this.
I don't want my 300k UU (f.x.), I would like 260B Naq instead (making my Naq 'gift' 520B). Or I want another bank increase, and sacrifice my ATs for that.

So basically, the standard 20$SS package is what you get, yes?
My proposal is to make it so you can allocate those; say "I don't want my AT, I want Naq instead", or something along those lines. You don't need to give up your PPT by default.. rather you can pick and choose.
Any feedback? Aside from saying I'm a spoilt kid who wants more than she'll have?
