No Losses when Attacking?

I realise that when a person attacks beneath a certain % of the defenders army the defender takes no losses. But in this case the attack took none as well. As you can see by the spoiler they sent more than one troop into battle, so they should have at least sustain some sort of losses.

40,627 Offensive NID Team have Mini Nuke
25,120 Offensive Away Team have Mini Nuke


Opposite this, stood the forces of xxxxxxxx

xxxxxxxx resisted the aggressors with:
4,200,000 Super Defenders and 0 Defenders
Careful and thourough observation records that the army carried the following arsenal:

4,200,000 Super Defenders have Targeted Spacial Distortions

In a fury, the two opposing forces clash!

XXXXXXX , personally commanding zzzzzzzz, their MotherShip, initiates the battle.
xxxxxxxx was was commanding xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, thier MotherShip.
defender hovers above the battle, with all available fleets launching!
xxxxxxxxxxxx, and its fleets, meets it head on!
xxxxxxxx uses its Nuclear Volley to inflict 3,739,470,000 damage, destroying 31 Energy Shields on xxxxxxxxxxxxxx!
The Mothership has exhausted all of its offensive power.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx uses its Pod Volley to inflict silly amounts of damage, destroying 57 Energy Shields on defender!
Blowing through the extended shield defenses, it also destroyed 85 Nuclear Volley, and downed 38 fleets!

XXXXXX xxxxxxxxxxxxxx provides 35,494,040,000 additional defence power to the troops on the ground!

The forces of xxxxxx rush in full force, and inflict 11,485,308,910 damage on xxxxxxxx's forces!
Judging from the troop and army makeup, 0 of that damage came from support planets.
It was confirmed that 0 of xxxxxxxx's forces fell at the hands of xxxxxxx 's assult.

The forces of xxxxxxxx fought back with all they could, and managed to inflict devastating damage on xxxxxxx 's forces! So much damage, in fact, that while running away xxxxxxx could not accurately judge the extent of the beating...
They managed to eradicate 0 of xxxxxxx 's troops.

One additional fact: the forces of xxxxxxx were so completely overwhelmed that they could not even breach the perimiter of xxxxxxxx! As a result, it appears that the weapons and forces of xxxxxxxx suffered no damage!! Was it a suicide run? Proving some sort of unknown 'point'? Or maybe a tactical strike to recon the strength of the opposition? Nobody is 100% sure, but one thing is sure: the attack was eliminated before they even got close, and had no effect on the target![/spoiler]

They are a tauri, tauri Unique tech gives a small chance to not lose attackers whilst attacking
