Screw equipment, katana + the warrior's mind and body are the only equipment that should ever be needed.

...and clothes.

...and a nuke here and there would be fun.

i perfer a set of 4 Kodachi's paired to allow them to combine at the hilt, to create two swallow's which can be used with godlike speed creating a blade dance nigh inescapable at close range.

go to war???

America has been at war every year since the Korean. someone wanna do the math on how many American troops have died and how many people American troops have killed since Korea???

why do i care? because like America, england is also sposed to be a free land but as you say, we are now a police state and the same (if not worse) is happening to the USA, its not a matter of "If" but "When"...besides that i have friends and family who live in the US, its a cliché but there it is!

btw, has anyone even bothered to watch the film i posted?

As for wanting to Help America while ignoring your own country, the best way to help America would be to gather enough citizens and have an armed uprising, if you succeed then it would be a sign to our government not to feck with it's citizens. I mean if the panzified English could overthrow their government, then how much moreso the insane Americans and Texans? Oh but of course that's too much work, it's easier to just stomp your feet and hold your breath, regardless of the fact that it's completely pointless. If the government is as bad as you say, they ain't gonna give a rat's ass what a few "whack jobs"(in public opinion at the very least) think or do. But hey, anything to make you think you're making a difference to make yourself feel better so you wont have to start -an impossible to win- war.

eh?

who says i am ignoring my own country?

i attended the the demonstration in london opposite the houses of parliament yesterday adding my voice to the many that were there and doing my bit by talking to people and trying to make them aware of whats going...what have any of you done accept show apathy and disdain to those that want change, a better world and trying to show you that things should NOT be the way they are, and yet we stand by and allow our leaders to tell us this is the way it should be and we go along with that( if thats not sheep mentality i dont know what is!)...who the hell are they to tell US that???
is it so wrong to want to see an end to war? is it so wrong to class myself as a citizen of the world instead of just seeing myself as a brit?

the time for segregation is over, but it will never be over so long as we go along with the ones who tell us this is the way it should be.

look at yourself, the world around you, your family and friends and ask yourself this, "do the leaders of our country (no matter what country you live in, not just the US) represent us?"

well do they?

no one can deny that we need a change for the better, the question is, will you do something about it or will continue being hostile, apathetic and disdainful to those who are on YOUR side?

Re: just as i said it was...

Yes, America was in a long war since Korea. It was called the Cold War. The others were UN or NATO actions.

Your video had some interesting points and some ridiculous ones. The flag one is one the latter, along with the Vatican owning England (even I know enough of English history to know the persecution Catholics faced there after Henry VIII (?) split with the Church.) And then there's the Virginia Company, which I believe went bankrupt and had to give up Virginia to the crown, which lost Virginia in the War of American Indepedence. Those are the main points. Seriously, you flatter yourself too much when you overcredit your Queen's influence.

While I agree we need a less centralized government in the US, a confederacy (where the states have all the power and central government has none) is not the answer. You cannot maintain a military of anything but the smallest of size, and if Iraq has shown anything, it's that we need a larger boots on the ground military too cycle through or we need to abandon our "two theatres" policy from WWII. Furthermore, a weak central government cannot regulate state interaction, and must have the influence to be able to speak on an international scale for the entire country. Finally, do we Americans even know how to rule from local governments? I'm not so sure, but it would be interesting to find out.

Final note, if anyone here thinks the US should become an isolationist power (which is sometime a feeling I pick up), you might want to reconsider that idea. Just saying.

I would not think an isolationist power would be the best choice, but the US needs to stop putting its nose where it doesn't belong. I am not saying that either Iraq or Afghanistan were unjust, well at least not in the beginning, but now what the hell are we doing there. Iraq already has put together a plan that would make it so it is their forces doing what we are doing. Has a pulout table of all friendly forces and everything, But Bush has said he doesn't agree with it. Who the hell does Bush think he is. If Iraq wants us out, then we leave, not stay there uninvited. This just proves what Bush's entire agenda was from day one in Iraq, CONTROL! Not only of Iraq, not only of the region, but also of the oil fields.

The US forces are spread way to thin to even try and control things here in the US if everything went wrong. Now I do support my brothers and sisters in the armed forces, but I am getting to the point where I do not support this war, and also I am getting to the point that I do not support this country. Its sad that I even had thoughts of moving to a foreign country for what would be in hopes of a better life, a better persuit of happiness. Yes I fly my flag outside of my home day after day, but mark my words, the day it comes down, is the day I have left this country.

This comes fom someone who has been on the the front lines of war. I have fought for this country, I gave a part of me for this country, physically and mentally. So it is not easy to admit that I have thought this way.

Re: just as i said it was...

Considering the Iraqis are already leading security operations in 9 of 18 provinces and their government has called for withdrawal timelines, I can see us leaving in 1-2 years. Maybe not everyone, but a bulk of the troops. Shift the priorities for Afghanistan and after another 2-3 years focus there and we're mostly out of the region.

Maybe that's just optimism.

the British company's which have taken a major slice out of Iraq will not appreciate its "strong man" pulling out of Iraq or Afghanistan.
