i've got 1024 gig of RAM on vista and its not enough, a friend of mine whose a whiz on computers (went to collage for them) told me that officially vista needs 2 gig to work at its best but unofficially it NEEDS 4 gig

aye. the irony of all this: the operating system that should be there only to make it poss for other application to work uses up all the resources... i think murphy had a law about that..
and where did ya get 1024GB ram from???
i want one!!! or at least half of it...

By my calculation... should have the file successfully copied by the year 2142.
It's all good, I'll be the ripe old age of 157. It better be worth the wait.
Vista, vista, vista. Why oh why did you come with my laptop![]()
Seen bigger with my vista. All I can say is that, Vista only needs 1gig of ram to run ok...
2 gig for better performance
and of you want to go crazy.... try 8 gig....
XP professional is far better at the current moment...
linux still sucks and so does apple.

I like vista for the most part it has a clean look, stream lined interface and as long as you uninstall and delete all of the bloat ware and have the 64 bit version to fully enjoy 4 gigs of ram your clocking some serious game time in between banking your naq
only down side to me is the sp1 update which was crap other than that its great

good points, however theres still the driver compatability issues with 64 bit. silly thing wants everything to be digitally MS signed.
so i use 32 bit, and it works a charm ^_^
