I wouldnt know mate , all i know is two accounts both got hacked at same time by what we are assuming the same guy . If it is a case of careless handling of loggin details by the account owners then that is extremely random to say the least , no i would say this guy has managed to get into their accounts by some other means (no clue what ) lol .
My problem is with the refusal of Admin Team to return the goods to the true honest players who do not deserve to be ripped off like this !!

I completely understand people's reactions to Admin's stance on this. However, there has been no confirmation that any actual Hacking has taken place. This term is used way too much and more often than not incorrectly.

Yes the two accounts were accessed unknowingly at the same time, however that does not necessarily mean that the two seperate login details were obtained at the same time.

Clarkey the passwords for everyones account on this game are stored in a plain text file on the server, this came to light before when a login bug showed you your own password in plain text on the login screen, the bug was fixed but the plain text passwords still exsist, this has been brought up a few times,

How can they say they will not undo a hack, if there own security isnt even up to par with nearly every other simple site that has a login.........

So i revert to my last, and i think its time for the community to make it known to all new players who are thinking of investing $$ into this game, not to, as there account is not safe, and should it get hi-jacked hard luck.

well we do know one thing that someone has left a trail of some kind obviously they can track what IP address was used to login into both accounts if it is possible the supposed hacker did use a proxie I would then suggest that the ability to use a proxie server should be removed because of such security issues.

Further more I would als suggest that admin work very hard to comprise the situation at hand, I understand this is a very skeptic situation and that it may require investigation that would take much time to solve the case.

I would like to say, the disregard for not returning resourcess, if an account(s) get hacked, is very disturbing and by your words you are stating that at this moment and on, NO accounts will be reimbursed do to a secruity breach of YOUR own system flaws. That is very upsetting to myself and I am very postive others, this type of attitude just shows how much the admin team really cares towards its players who invest their time, money and care into a game that you run, If this is the type of treatment we in return recieve because of your secruity flaws then it is no doubt going to be the final blow in the SGW we have known until this day. I would certainly view this a a deadly strike into the heart of the game, that will certainly cause a downward spiral of destruction to its very exsistance.

Good luck marshal in getting back what was stolen from you and I hope that admin changes their mind on this type of situation that has happened. I hope, in light of all that is commen sense, the admins realize the problem they will generate from this type of treatment and act quickly to change their choices they have just made.

it's not 2 accounts, there are 4 that i know of that have recently lost everything; or, "hacked." general O'neill of NEO and Abhorsen of FS both lost everything in there accounts.

i've seen a few people say that it wasn't a real hacking. now i dont give out my passwords and as stated in my 1st post i change them regularly. So the hacker must have guessed my password (which is quite unlikely given its complexity), or the site security was compromised. I'd happily bet on the second option...

I was fortunate the person that bought my resorces was honest enough to return at least most of my UU however everything else was and is gone 8tril naq..weapons..Acers...and all my planets 250Tril worth of upgrades at least and attack turns. There is a problem somewhere as hacking accounts wether for fun of moving things around or stealing whats in them is taking place..After my hacking Ive had my puter checked and its not on my end we also have the conversations from the thief and are positive its someone in the SGW community all was forwarded to admin and admin has the ability to track log ins and IPS as they have used this method to rid multies.and yes this is stealing. But admins stand on people's accounts is unfair especially when more than enough proof is presented.

@ Marshall, did you click any unusual links recently ? Do you let Firefox remember your log-in details ( inc password ) ? Have you had any contact with Dustin ( aka Lord Azmoden ) ? Is he on your MSN contacts ?



Hope it does get sorted soon but Abhorsen's had this done to him several weeks ago and nothing has been reset or returned to his account.
