stargate atlantis 5x02 (spoilers?)

for those that have seen it, what did you think about it?

we think it was a rather good episode, added a bit more lore to the universe... and it was quite original concept...

[spoiler]it was an interesting concept, wasnt it?
it'd been useful if they had just captured a few dozen wraith, and infected them with it, in order to get a lantean fleet of hive ships...
think about hooking up that technology to a black hole... i.e. make it draw power from a black hole, and give it a planet to work with... think how many hive ships that could make...[/spoiler]

[spoiler]I didn't even realize that the thing she was infected with was the Hive ship making virus... I know they suggested thats what it might be, but no one ever really confirmed it. and YA, it'd be awesome if they could start making their own kinda Lantean-Wraith hybrid ships.[/spoiler]

Anyways... I think this season is gonna be like Season 10 of SG-1, just random episodes that aren't really that good nor give me any entertainment at all... Atlantis might be in its final season here... (or did they already approve 6? )

there going by rates, and if they dont get the rates there gonna make 2 films a year just like SG1

That's what I am saying... There ratings are probably gonna be going down because IMO the shows are getting worthless. Also I don't see them doing any movies for Atlantis, maybe 1... Definitely not 2 a year, and SG-1 isn't doing 2 a year if the new Stargate series comes through... (Or is it already dead? lol)

what i dont like is how he so easily can be cured.. why cant Ford be cured like that,, since he had teh exact same problem.. he was so much cooler

[spoiler]Episode 3 is where Ronan gets kidnapped, and I think he was cured more easily because his ordeal was more short term, whereas Ford was on the stuff for I think months when they FINALLY got to him. Actually I don't even know what the stuff Ronan was that he was on, I tuned into the episode kinda late .[/spoiler]

I wouldn't buy any Stargate seasons... but I really like the shows. I guess I am just cheap like that.

[spoiler]lt. ford wasnt brainwashed... he simply got an overdose of the enzyme...
also, ford got it all at once, while ronon got it in many small doses, along with a lot of talk from the wraith...

as for ford, it would be somewhat easy to cure him too, but the problem is, they havent been able to hold him in one place long enough to drain the enzyme from him. also, to cure him, they'd need to give him more enzyme, but in decreasing dosages... (the cold turkey technique doesnt work on those that have used it long-term)[/spoiler]
