u dont undarstand that everything is tide to one another....if u want the same weapons as goauld and replicators defence then u will have...true a powerful defence than now...but the sige upgreads will have to be lowerd....or removed and attack power of your wepons incresed to 25%.....to make this clearer....TAAURI GET MORE THAN 25% THAN GOAULD ANS REPLICATORS ATTACK(the same for asgard defence....)....

Don't complain about refunds on weapons. Just be glad they are the way the are now.

As for these new proposed solutions...

Forgive_me and scbens ideas are somewhat similar and somewhat drastically different. I won't say anything regarding some of forgive's rep and goa'uld ideas but regarding the asgard and tauri I agree with scben.

Change the final fortification level / siege tech we have to give us a 25% bonus to our certain skill (and not whatever it is that it gives us now), and then make all weapons equal in power. It seems very fair. That way, -hopefully- the majority of the Tauri and Asgard population will be happy with their lifted penalties, and the Goa'uld and Reps will be happy the bonuses they (The Asgard / Tauri) are recieving now (which apparently they think is too much) are reduced.

OR we can keep fiddling with the exact percentages for bonuses we recieve until everybody is happy but who knows how long that will take.

well have it so every 1 has the same upgrades the power is just 25% more cuz u cant have the cost 25% less or the bouness is not even the gould get no advantage really the weapons for the tauri and asgard are cheaper but if the rep spy was 25% cheaper they wuld spend millions less like 10's of millions

ok let me exlain wath will hapen....

- all weapons will have the same power.......same price......(on the main page it sas....25%...if they are cheper it means more %....)
- tauri asgard will lose a litle more than 30%of there offencive/defencive total power...wen the last sige/defence upgread is set to 25%.....with the same powers at weapons this will mean 25% extra atack/defence
- replicators will have the same cost at there spylevels but the spylevel will give them not 2at power of the level but (2at power of the leve*25)/100.....the 25% of spy ......

hope this clears all things.....beware....the asgard tauri will actualy have extreamly to lose...but well...............

i am not going to reduce every bonus to nothing, and add 25% to the races...

sure - this is a bit more complicated - but a lot more interesting/challening and flexible.

if people would start playing and figure out how it works, and how they can benefit from their races' abilities, instead of pinpointing what looks 'bad' to them, i am sure it would be more fun

from the answers here, i can tell people do not understand how things are currently working ... before suggesting changes, that would be a first step.

if you want it simple, so that you get it right away, it makes a far less challenging game...

trust me - it is balanced in that everyone can do well, or poorly, based on their play.... equal on all fronts? no - equal opportunity to succeed or fail - yes ...

but like i said give every 1 the same stuff cost power every thing then
give the 25% bouness
25% more powwer to attack for tauri
25% more power to defence for asgard
25% more naq per turn to gouald
25% more cover per spy for reps

i am an engineer so i love math but since i don't memerize everything i have gotten in upgrades i don't know how my effectiveness is working compared to the others. i just want to look and see ok my defence weapon is 2560 and i have a 25% increase on it and my attack is 2560 and i have no bonus on it. then i know that these sudtle adjustments aren't screwing me over i just don't understan the math behind it all. i would just like to look and go ok my 2560 is worth 3200 for my def thats it!! nothing more nothing less. that way everyone knows the game is equal

so buy one weapon now - see how much it adds to your attack/defense.
voila.
keep in mind your seige/fort upgrades.... and the fact the military unit holding the weapon adds to it's effectiveness beyond the raw weapon (plus mod) score...
in short - weaponstrength*race bonus*total seige/fort effect * military multiplier = addition to attack strength.
(military multiplier same for all races)

this change did nothing but tone down the (previously unbalanced, still unbalanced, but less so) seige/fort effects....

I'm going to let this thread go for a day or 2... then come back and look at all comments/posts.
hopefully people look at the change, try it, and comment on how they found it PLAYED....
I'll keep the subject open, not commit to leaving it 100% as is, IF there is a good reason why it should change....
I had not got around to looking at attack/defense scores - and - when I did, realized how unbalanced they were. I toned down the imbalance. That's it.

so - please do look at it in context, play with it, and let me know if you still think it is not "fair".

forum u said that if people would figure out how to use their abilities then the game would be better.
well i am an asgard and as an asgard i want big defence so i spent a lot of my naq on def and barely any on attack so that way i could work on my covert and attack without the worry of being attacked all the time while i focused on aonther area. basically i was using the fact that i have a defence bonus to try and make my defence big enough so that no small to mid attack would steal my naq and that only a big attack would and using this to where i could build up on my other fronts and slowly up to the top. i thought thats how i could best us my bonus.
