this implies that either (a) a human soul (purer perhaps) (b) a shinigami soul or (c) Hollow soul must be used

most likely (b), this leads me to believe that the "prototype" is the hollow which took over Kain Shiba's wife and then Kain himself. Which was created by Aizen, this is strengthened by

(a) there are 2 people seen standing talking (Gin and Aizen)
(b) there cloaks are black rather than captains white (Urahara and Mayuri strike me as being very much hands on)

so, its Aizen trying to make the hollow which posseses shinigami[/spoiler]

of all 170 eps ive seen most of them, though i did skip the matsumoto shopping and hitsugaya arc for the most part. as for the bounto arc i only saw 5/30-40 of the 2 bounto season.

hmm, they couldn't have picked a more annoying time to start a new filler ark in the anime So far I like the ark but...

[spoiler]why cut in right before the Kenpachi-Noitra fight, If they were going to do a filler ark they should have done it before going to Hueco Mundo imo.[/spoiler]

On a side note, what do you all think of the new ark? and when exactly in the time line is it supposed to be?

well it doesn't feel like it fits anywhere ... they just say ooow well Orihime is saved, all things back normal everyone goes back to the normal world ... while well.. yeh... like you said so much interesting stuff have to happen in Hueco Mondo..

so far this arc...well some episodes tend to be boring, i hope it picks up a bit since next episode we'll finnally link the princess and new captain pieces together?

Last weeks ep (174) was decent but imo the rest of it sucks....badly. I just wanna see the rest of the hueco mundo arc...

Edit: 175 mostly sucked as well but at least next week will be an hour ep and it looks like it'll be good

(still don't see the point of this arc.....at least the bount arc explained the mod souls and experiements etc.....)

i reckon the viazard won't show up until pretty late on and will end up saving the squad captains and thus regaining there place in society (or at least some acceptance)

same here, why do all fillers include the weirdest characters, you have a hyena that dies along with his brothers, a new 3rd section 3rd seat that is a bit suspicious and a big human sized chimpazee directing all the mayhem. since they jumoed out of HC, i have only seen 2-3 interesting scene. vazard ichigo vs mirror guy, ichigo vs soiphon and ichigo vs the new captain. i got no interest in a chimp trying to kill a little girl.

i wouldve liked if they did include more details in the HC arc but then again the season still dragged on a bit nonetheless.
