I don't think the z actually stands for anything. I think it's just used for emphasis to sound sarcastic.

i kinda pronounce it.... 'zomogosh/god'....
Indeed... i always added a 'Z' to mock/mimic the way a number of my younger female friends say "Oh my god"...
They run it together and it almost comes out "zomigd"
And, unlike OMG, there isn't (in my mind) the same pause. (O...M...G...) so when mocking players from my old FPS days, zomg flows better.
