i doubt very much that we all got spyware just as the update was handed out. ive noticed alot of turn change lag being lessended, however, mid turn there is a shiitload of pauses. i dont like it. i just want the old server back with new ms techs new strength fleets and platforms. geez, none of this random BS with the whole raid rate changing and not taking naq. its such bs that its meant to take 80-100%.. look at this:

Since the update the lag as been horrible, pre-update my game ran smooth and fine, since the takes forever to load a page, to load the alliance attack logs well i dont even wanna go there,

It could be tied in with rank not currently working, and raiding all over the place, so maybe an underlying issue somewhere on the server, either way admin needs to look into it.

Ok this seriously needs bumped, something isnt working right, i have an 8mb dedicated net connection and the game is shocking load times, attack log takes over 3 minutes to load ( personal not alliance ).

Bumping this thread, this needs looked into, command center is still loading after 10 mins, compressed for speed huh.

so - for lag - this is what i did....

1) added 10 seconds before big table updates
2) locked ONLY the player table update with naq/etc ... this takes 14seconds.
3) removed some 'non necessary' stuff...

so - it now takes 3mins to run the 'total turn' with about 240 seconds of 'delay' built in where nothing happens (and game goes on as usual). i did this so that there is no 'buildup' of things waiting for the turn update....at most 4 to 6 seconds at a time of 'wait for me' from the turn script. in the 60 seconds it is actually 'working' there are about 60 queries...some take up to 6 seconds, some 0.0001 seconds...

now - i can do 2 things:

1) take out more 'just checking' stuff
2) reduce the wait from 10 seconds to 1 second. i never see a queue of even 100 queries take more than 1 second to clear if the talbe is not locked...
at least this way if it is a 'turn delay' we know

what i suspect is that it is either 1) some setup with your session (ie computer to server) interaction or
2) something with a page that takes longer than it should - ie a specific query. like, for example, does the lag happen around alliance functions? plain old attack page? or ?

i will do more on this, and make eliminating lag the next priority.
for the record - the 'page takes 10 minutes' to load type thing is not lag - it is a session lock as far as i can tell..or an internet path error somewhere from you to the server....(usually in the western US )

It seems a little faster today, but like before the update i never had any lag, the turn lag everyone else got i didn't get, each turn took maybe 30 seconds for me, now its prob closer to 2 minutes, which makes a difference when being turn farmed.
