I think you should implement a standard 3 trill bank size with purchasable upgrades instead of just the market option.
My bank size is pretty small since a have a new account and with large naq hits i have to spend it right away because me bank wont hold it all. I can't save up to by lost of uu or for a rainy day. Their is no way i can afford more than 3 or 4 of the ms tech upgrades with my bank size.

use a friend are alliance mate. Also raid more and train more miners. You can trade for lifers on market as well.
If all banks are the same, why even train miners at all?

Re: Standardized bank size with purchasable upgrades.
That's the risk about this game. You farm large amounts, you risk loosing it immediately if you have small bank.
Giving every one a large bank in the trillions so that people don't lose naq when they farm is stupid, another "make life easy" suggestion.

its not life, its just a game. I think it hurts smaller players.

Re: Standardized bank size with purchasable upgrades.
Agree with clarkey - it is a 'make it easier for me suggestion' - which is not necessary - I've seen new players come in and be able to amass huge armies and do multiple ascensions in a matter of a few months - because they work at it and change their gameplay when they realise something isn't working.
There's a very good reason the bank size exists - and it is so that you cannot simply bank everything that you farm immediately - it's all relative to your size and you have to manage your size and your bank size accordingly. Making your bank size smaller has the advantage that UU can be used elsewhere - but means you can't bank much - having a larger bank means less UU available for attacking - it's a matter of choice - but the bank limit based on the number of miners/UU is sensible, and is set at a decent ratio already.
I'm sick to the back teeth of 'can we have it easier?' suggestions - it's way too easy now anyway compared to what it used to be. Hell, I know people who are thinking of getting rid of their big accounts, so that they can start again - because the game is unchallenging for them and because they know that with a bit of work they can, relatively quickly, build a big account again.
The game needs more challenge built into it, it doesn't need to be made easier.

Ok, make game easier then.... but still you spend some of your life playing the game so it is making 'life' a bit easier.
I agree with Wolf359. I'm also getting sick of people making suggestions to make the game easier for smaller/new accounts. Those of us who have been playing for 3+ years had it hard at the beginning, why should it now be made easy for new accounts? What makes new accounts so special?

Re: Standardized bank size with purchasable upgrades.
Incidentally (Thriller), my account is significantly smaller than yours, yet I am against it (so there's no real bias).

i think those "smaller" players could be happy to have hits who could fill the bank with 15 ATs.

I have to agree with the general consences, this isn't needed. The way the bank works now is perfect.

You're a Prior with an army of approx 20 million, and I'm unascended with an army of approx 10 million.
(When I left the game at the back end of 2006, I gave my account away as I decided that if I came back, I wanted the challenge of starting from scratch (the game had gotten tedious). I came back towards the end of 2007, but didn't really start playing properly until around March time - mainly due to work - since then, progress has been relatively slow - again due to work, but also because I got myself involved in several in-game scuffles - lol - which I enjoyed more than 'working on my account to grow it. Despite it being slow, I still found it easy to get within G&R range within a few weeks - but the numerous scuffles I've had have made it impractical to ascend - However, I don't want it made any easier to do so.

You could use your planets as bank. If you can sell the defense for the same that you paid for them
