Orbital Defence Platforms - Damages

Somebody made an attack against a planet which had an Orbital Platform stationed there.

I checked the attack log, and it told me how many defence installations had been destroyed.

I checked my Platform afterwards, but only half as many defences were destroyed compared to the figure shown in the log.

The planet itself had no defences at the time of the attack.

Is this a bug? Or are damages intended to be shared between the platform(s) and the planet?

Either way... something is amiss

I thought the MS had to beat the platform first........ Else whats the point in having them LOL they wont protect a planet.
