Can you untrain lifers?

I dont understand why people are so against lifers. When we have armies 200mil+ I dont think im ever going to see the need to untrain every single last bloody miner (and hence, lifer). Its just a miner. Whats the deal? people say.. 30mil uu is worth 90mil lifers.. sure, id happily trade that any day.

It comes from the old days, back then you could actually stop someone because war were actually fought. People expended resources, and couldn't just by 50 mill UU in a moments notice. Many accounts were took back down to basicly lifers alone. Once you hit that point it is hard to recover as you spend all your Naq buying UU and weapons during your PPT, and if they were able to take that down you were a farm until you could PPT again.

Times have changed.

Another thing is you can't sell or gut out Lifers, having 200mill sellable miners is far better then having 100 mill UU and 100 mill Lifers.

True. But as you said, times have changed. And an account of that size, I really dont see when they're going to need to sell such amounts of units. lol

Imagine a 180 mil account that wants to do an ascension run. 170 mil is lifers. The first ascension run will create 17 mil lifers, the second about 15 mil, going on... After 6 ascensions, he'll be glad to swap 30 mil of those lifers for normal UU.

i dont know of any 180mil unascendeds

but again, i see your point. lol, its just, id be more then happy with an EAG account with 80% of its miners as lifers. im down with that
