and - for a number of reasons, the unique click will stay - and stay limited... right now it is 50 /day -- which is HUGE for new players, not that much for higher rank players, so servers that purpose as well as a few others that go beyond single players....
the limit may be looked at, but for now the 50 seems ok...
I have also stopped the ability to abuse it.

If clicks are eliminated every one loses that turn based income. If the goa'uld get a bonus on naq per click then they get a bonus others don't. It's perfectly fair.

And you keep talking about the tau'ri attack bonus. Yet never do I hear any goa'uld point out that in addition to the 25% bonus on income they have a 25% larger bank and free deposits into this larger bank.

Having a bigger bank is hugely beneficial, particularly when looking to upgrade a spy level. The goa'uld are at no disadvantage whatsoever.

It's HUGE for everyone. I don't know if you've done the math, but I'll show you.

I'm looking at one week. Say I get 50 clicks every day. At the end of the week that comes to:
50
50+50
50+50+50
50+50+50+50
50+50+50+50+50
50+50+50+50+50+50
50+50+50+50+50+50+50
So, that's 28*50(clicks)*48(turns)*30(naq/turn)=2,016,000 naquadah extra at the end of the first week. After that, even if no one clicks anymore, you still have 350 extra units, which comes down to 504k naquadah per turn. It's the lasting effect of units that makes this bonus so huge.

Then to buy the unit production upgrades to match someone who gets 50 clicks/day:
Let's just say we're both at 0. Upgrades 1-50=50*(1+50)/2=1275. Multiply by 15000 naq/turn and you have a bonus worth 19,125,000 naquadah. And that's only if you start from 0, if both were already at 50 units/day it would be even bigger.

So, all in all, I think the bonus is pretty huge.

Elminated no.. but limited more would reduce the abuse. Goul's get thier bonus regardless if they are spamming/etc for clicks.

I would rather it was used for its primary purpose which is to bring NEW players into the game.

I bet you most ppl who joined this game DID NOT come through a recruitment link.

Well, I did. Then I posted it at a forum where some friends and I hang out, then three of them decided they would try out. Later, I posted it in another forum a clan from another game set up, and two people from there decided to start playing...
It does work, though I admit it is a low percentage from those that clicked the link (probably about 3% of them signed up)

Personally, I dont mind either way, though I prefer it being as it is merely because it helped my gain power fast when I started playing. If there was no recruit link, I would be no where near where I am today, and the game would be so slow that I probably would have quit

Well if you think that it would make the normal server too slow, do you support cutting it down in quantum? Its pretty fast paced so I cant see that reducing them there would cause that sort of problem

Well, I no longer play quantum, It only held my interest for about a day (the 3 month reset thing bugged me too much)
So im not sure about the speed of quantum, but I think itd be okay for that game (reducing, not eliminating)
It'd still be a pain the first week or so of playing if it was reduced too much...

Its my first post. This is lame... setting the limit to 50 and below.. admin ruined the game setting it. Years ago when this kinds of game came to the net playing such games was hundred times better. New "rules" anre not cool?.. now even getting units by clicking your officers unique links will be canceled.

Its logical that ARAM wants to disable this so his army can stay the biggest. Playing such games now loses the point..

Though I agree that making a limit is not cool, but I also think the way your responding to it is not cool either. There is no reason to use that language...

Now, before forgive me points out all the flaws in what you said, Ill help him out for once (not because I agree with him, just because your reasoning is wrong)

Aram does not have the biggest army for one thing. Second, the limit affects EVERYONE, which means with the limit, everyone gets the same amount bonus everyday (assuming you join a good alliance). If there was no bonus, the rate his army increases will be affected the same as everyone elses(minus 50.)
You also big time contradicted yourself. You dont like setting the limit 50 and below, yet you think that having more of a limit benifits Aram. That is not true. Aram can probably get way more than anyone else in this game everyday if there was no limit (as can most of the top 10.) The limit is there to help others to catch up.

And about not getting units for clicking the links, there was very good reasoning for that, and it also would give people like Aram even more of an advantage, and youd never be able to catch up.

Please, next time, read over your post and dont contradict yourself so many times.

With setting the limit im 111% sure that he will win. I almost caught him by giving links to ppl i know but then this limit came.. I had small unit production since i was depended on units ppl gave me by clicking that link.
Once the army is so big its getting bigger and bigger every day.. he gets 10 or 11 units per turn .. im second best and i get 7..
Such as this changes should be made at the end of the BIG TURN (reset).

This is why I want clicks limited...I have played strongly for unit production and yet I am being beaten in numbers by people who have ONE THIRD my unit production...yes I did spy on them so I know this is correct. As I said before is getting 50 people a day to click your link a skill in playing this game? If it is fine then keep it, but if it isnt I think it need serious addressing.

I understand that it is something that is designed to bring players into the game, but cant the benefits be curbed? I mean even 1 man is such a huge effect as slep pointed out.

And dario: I dont think either you or Aram would be anywhere near as powerful as you are without clicks, but I can see your point about why he is calling the limit in. I dont for 1 second believe he is untouchable though a strong alliance could bring him down. But if everyone played for themselves then yes I agree he is untouchable.

Firstly I use alot of mercs to boost my unit count, secondly my unit production has always been THE priority with me..until the last couple of days I could almost guarantee it was over double the next nearest guy. Initially when that game started I got quite a few clicks, but over the last 10 days, I've probably only got 40-50 clicks..As for dariobala, one must ask themselves how a guy with 1/3 my unit production until yesterday, could match my units. And I know exactly how few mercs he's got.

And I agree, I'm not untouchable. Thats why we have alliances. That's why Omega exists. Our aim is to have as many of our member in the top 10 as possible. While it is the most powerful alliance in the game, we don't just bully ppl around. It's a defensive alliance that could become offensive.

(btw, i failed exam (English) at my university).. but thats not the point.. the point is that clicking was my only chance of winning this game since i didnt train my unit production.. clicks kept my army alive.. Aram, you have the best unit production.. you have the largest army.. you are ranked 1... i wonder if you wanted to limit clicks if you'd be second and were at my current position.

They should let this clicks be unlimited again till the reset and afterwards i dont really care if its limited.. is it my fault that i picked that tactic? it was perfect strategy until limitation came along.

the recruitment links must stay - they are an integral part of the game. I do agree, however, that they should be limited to less than they are now. This would put an end to certain people abusing their use.

One idea may be to limit the number of clicks you can receive, dependent on the number of units you have in your army or your rate of unit production. The higher they are, the less clicks you can receive (and the less you actually need them!).

Great idea Wolf 359! That way top players don't pull away. It spices up the game. To refine it further, cos even that can be abused as ppl can artificially maintain their lower ranking, me it dependent on the number of units u have, for every 500 units u have, 10 less clicks. The more u have the less clicks u get.
