so, you have 5 mates in iraq, have they been everywhere in iraq, have they seen everything thats happened??

mate, watch the film and judge for yourself if what i say is true or not because it doesn't show ANY BODY'S opinion, what it shows is the people who were there and were involved....

or you can live in blissful ignorance, as they say...the choice is yours but i never said anywhere that every soldier was involved but its not as isolated as you think

btw, i forgot to mention taxi to the dark side does not make for "easy" viewing, theres scenes of nudity, prisoners inflicting injury's on themselves, human degradation on a scale not seen since WW2 and the heart rendering testimonies of the soldiers as well, so be warned!

Urogard, you are just sick. The killing of POWs is illegal, as Thriller and Agnoch mentioned, and no CO would order that in a normal the right state of mind, and probably not even under stress. As has been shown, cases such as Haditha are brought to light and then to trial.

More interesting to me is that you first try to personalize soldiers (by calling them fathers, sons, husbands, etc) and then suddenly flip around and throw these situations out, with these now extreme faceless executioners taking the place of these "fathers, sons, husbands, etc". Why the sudden loss of identity, huh? Does the moment a man or woman put on a uniform mean they suddenly lose the ability to think for themselves? Are you, to use your own word, that naive? Your attempt to use soldiers and their image for your own purpose sickens me and treads on hypocritical.

And Avenger, as I'm not going to watch that movie, I just need to ask one thing. How many soldiers are interviewed in there, when did they serve, and where?

its a very powerful film and really should be seen, but i can understand why not everyone would want to see it.

anyways, i'm not sure how many, i think its 7 or 8, but its not how many are interviewed, its what they say that you have to keep in mind.

whoops! sorry, they were deployed in Bagram, Afghanistan and then in Abu Gurayb, iraq, not to far from Baghdad.

Soldiers deployed I have known many I know many currently deployed including my uncle who participated in both OIF I OIF II Afghanistan and Desert Shield/Storm.

I have recieved training talked to soldiers currently downrange and talked to soldiers coming back from iraq and Afghanistan I know what the hell actually goes on as much as anyone can possibly know that has not been downrange.

I cant actually state what I do but suffice it to say I know a hell of alot more about what happens downrange than you ever will.

I know a guy who was intel at Abu Ghraib before the whole bs treatment of EPW's and UEC's went down and he falt out told me what actually happened all you guys recieve is biased and unreliable sources as to what happens.
