Re: The Politics of SGW

Norbe please, let me point you to one particular fact you've seem to have missed:

A lot of the old CoP members (especially DD2 and some other players) are now members of TJP.
It is mostly those people that pointed fingers at FUALL and accused FUALL of doing 'stuff', however while being in CoP they were doing most of the things CoP got accused of  (anyone remember Laura aka Antius?)

Good post there Norbe, and part I agree the most with is the part about ascended server before CIA vs CoPs war.

Actually I'm sure you'd find plenty of TA players talking about Omega long before DDII was even around. And in fact, those TA members were ALWAYS TA members.

i'm posting this fo hans as he can no get on the forum at the moment.

Norbe mate,

I hate to say it, but you are so off-base with your propaganda **Filtered** post it's not even funny!

No one from TA or TLE care in the truth due to the propaganda crap you've been fed for 3 years now, along with several ass-kickings everytime one of you have tried to take away the "power" that Omega and Fuall "have."

I could go on and elaborate on every point, but who the frack cares? no one!

You lot allways cry "propaganda", like its some dirty word... Not agreeing or sharing your POV and stating so is not automatically "propaganda" lol.

Thank you Bazsy for getting my account fixed here!

Brdavs... sorry, just calling it how I see, the view from different sides of the fence especially with the long running history in the OE.

On a side note, I like your name... it makes me think of Brnik... just like the sound of it (probably explains when we were borrowing your names at the beginning of the war, I took yours).

Re: The Politics of SGW

Hilarious Hans, propaganda? I don't know what they have told YOU about our history, but from someone who lived every moment of it since Omega was created, I assure you it is valid. Your revisionist history can be whatever you want it to be, but that doesn't mean that those of us who actually knew what happened in Omega's heyday will believe it.

But that is the price of time, the old die off or forget and the young never hear the whole story. True in real life history and true in SGW history.

Re: The Politics of SGW

I dont really care about the past so much, things are what they are, people change, just because a few ill things have happend in the past, doesnt mean to much to me. Personally I love my alliance, I dont care about what they have done in the past. To many people generalize, their are people on bothsides that are awesome or jackasses, does that mean I think that the whole lot of them are the same as one, absolutly not. I like the history debate and all but I personaly do not think the coalitions are destorying the game.

Similarly, I believe that people in general are inherently flawed. Deep down, we are programmed to hurt one another; either physically or emotionally. People are naturally selfish and greedy; governed more by bestial urges than common sense or ethics. Society is a terrible thing, too. The more supposedly civilized we become, the more immorality and decadence become the main staple of our daily diet.

Before Lost concluded, my main flippant excuse for not killing myself was that I wanted to know how it ended. I will get back to you with a new one when I find it.

Re: The Politics of SGW

lol Sorry Math, but I HAVE NOT BE TOLD SQUAT... like you, I too have lived it, and I too can attest that there never has been any policy on "domination" as you all seem to go on and on about. The only policy of Omega was to recruit the elite, and to have eachother's back; if that's a crime than get over it. I cannot help it you guys in TA like to cry over every little hit. It's part of the game. It's your faults for continuing to ALWAY hold a grudge against Omega, never accept any apology, and choosing the wrong side of EVERY war you have chosen to fight against Omega in.

Furthermore a lot of the issues, if you ask me, have stemmed from Omega's long policy of being anti-cheat (despite a few members being cheats themselves). A lot of the grudges have continued to be carried on through the ages from Metal Messiah and General Ben (on TA's side), Asir and Extremer (on TLE's side). These guys were busted for cheating by the game Mod at the time, and only got a slap on the wrist by admin and allowed back into the game for whatever reason (perhaps in the slovenians' case it had to do with their country's screwed up way of doing IP's which lead to the assumption that Svarun and Ex and other accounts were multying). So now their hate has been spread and passed to their current respective alliances due to the hard-feelings from the past.

But like I said, no one really cares anymore. All either side sees is blood.

Anyway, blame us all you want, it does not change anything.

Facts eh? lol bebita, the silly little thoughts in your head do not make facts.

The TA does what the TA wants to do, as always. There's a reason we have been here longer than any of your alliances...besides I have a terrible singing voice.

Honours and Awards

Re: The Politics of SGW

I wonder how many of you truly realize how much work EnterTheLion, Replijake, Gunz and countless others have put into Omega since it was founded however many years ago. Everybody in Omega is one hundred percent dedicated to the cause, and we've all put a lot of effort into making our alliance what it is.

I expect the same is true of The Legion. Make no mistake about it: TL is a great alliance, an alliance which rocked this game to it's foundations. I am not so petty or unprofessional as to deny that. I don't have the insider view of TL that I do of Omega, but I'd wager that their leaders and members have worked just as hard as ours have to make their alliance great.

It's all well and good getting on your soapbox and declaring that superalliances are ruining the game, and should disband in order to save it. They probably are, and they probably should. But how quick would you be to make such bold statements if it was your alliance on the chopping block? Something you've worked at for at least a year, and have more or less used as the entire basis of your SGW career thus far. I daresay most of you wouldn't find it so easy to prattle on about the 'greater good' if that were the case. Please remember that the "high road" isn't always easy to take.

No, Omega would never bully or extort to get their way  It's not like Omega would take on random alliances and mass them for fun, or drive anyone who got near them into the ground, especially on ascended. It's not like they persuaded the admins to bring in updates they knew how to exploit...oh right excuse me that was "update testing". It's not like they used their positions as admins on this forum to gather intel on other alliances, whether it ip addresses or forum passwords, or for that matter to suppress their enemies opinion when it got too loud, something they learned from the OoC mods back in the day.

And you are right, Omega does recruit the cream of the crop. But for an alliance so anti-cheating, why add new people you have accused of being multis in the past? Or for that matter, allowed resources from players who were confirmed cheats to stay in your alliance? I won't even try to get into the STI/Reborn/Crazymofo thing, but the list goes on.

Oh and about the TA's wars with Omega. We've come out on top in as many as they have. You notice both alliances are still standing till this day.
