the black hole effect on the writing is mint. what program did u use?

I used adobe photoshop, tried a few different things and it came together as that

I'd say a wind effect on the bottom text, and a radial blur for the black hole?

hey guys, after seeing the new one forum made (no offense to him) and then seeing this topic, I thought I'd have a crack at it. Here's my attempt

Best one so far, by far.
My only gripe is the 'The Gate Wars' text.
But, the overall design is great.

Forum really needs to look at these, now that the game ahs lost it's SG association, it's going to need some pretty fancy graphics to grab the initial attnetion of visitors.
It really doesn't have right now...

I personally adore this one -text and all- although I must admit, there are several I like. I keep coming here just to see all the pretty graphics!

Maby someone should do a banner for the forum aswell as this says 'Stargate' in will probably have to bee changed...

Half right. The bottom text was a motion blur with a little glow, and the black hole was radial blur. fonts were downloaded i think -- saved by zero, and i cant find the other one
