this makes it not only a bit more of a penalty, but creates a different playing style/option for the whole gameplay
The two posts are within a day of each other, the second following a bit of outrage because there was no real penalty to Daemon. But I remember some ppl actually managed to descend themselves in the few hours between the posts.
Ascending doesn't take that long anyways, but it will take at least 12 weeks now. That is more or less 3 months worth of time. You can still do other things while you are 'ascending'. It's not like your whole life is put on hold until you can ascend back to 6x.
