I can confirm as well that the market PPT's increase the bank size, but you will not see it until after a turn change occurs.

If you do a search you will find a thread about it as well from when the changes were made and all the new market options were added.

My 'natural' unit earning capacity is 7,546 a piece.
Assuming the bank increase works on an addition percentage principle (E.g. 3 PPTs equal a 30% increase on the base {Base*[1+(3*0.1)]} )
instead of a compound principle {Base*1.1^3} then you can get a guestimate for the number of ppts used.

Take your current bank size and divide it by the 'natural' bank increase you get in the market. So for me that is:

62,524,514,563,398 / 213,102,595,299 = 293.4

So I have had approximately 293 PPTs, at 2 a week that's 2.82 years. However with the introduction of the ability to purchase bank increase separately on the market, you can get 3 bank increases a week. That's been active since Jan/Feb, so I guess it's feasible.
