Planet to Increase Bank Capacity

I think the title is pretty self-explanitory. There's a planet for increasing most other stats. Have it set to the rules of increasing your bank by up to 50% like the other planets and sorted.

Ok put yourself in the role of a meglomaniac galactic ruler (or whatever else you invision yourself as in the game). It would make a lot of sense to store your cash safe away on another planet, like a scaled up version of having a secret Swiss bank account.

If the stat increase is in the same sort of magnitude as the stats of the other types of planets (i know there are much higher and lower, but most of the planets i see tend to be in the 10bil range) then that may not affect players with banks that can hold trillions, but if smaller players can get hold of one then increasing their bank by 10 billion would make a huge difference.

Possibly even put in a rule of if you're using it (i.e. if youve gone over your normal bank capacity) then if the planet gets stolen the money inside it gets stolen too.

Just an idea i had that i thought should be looked at, sorry if its a repeat idea but the search turned up empty.

Well it has some merit, but as you stated, if the planet is taken the Naq is too. Does that mean the "taker" gets the naq? and if so they are basicly useless as eveyone will constantly steal them in hopes of a large payday.

Also people like me with a bank space of 150 trill plus, could keep on on merlin and shoot my capasity to 300 trill.

It could work, but I'm afraid it would be more trouble then its worth.

I think if it was simple such as.

Increase bank size.
Then it would be fine.
If the planet got stolen.

Your bank size just goes back to normal, and the stuff leaks out like normal.

Yea the losing the capacity but not the naq was the more sensible to gameplay option. Im not entirely sure what sort of increase to capacity it should give. I was more-or-less hoping that someone would have a sensible suggestion, but something fair on players with all kinds of capacity.

It still has the same effect, people wont use them for fear of losing their naq in an attack, and since damaging your enemies income as much as possible is high priority in war, they will be the first to go I'd imagine.

But suppose it only increased capacity, but just (magically or teleported of emergency ejected) the naquadah to your normal bank and naturally leaked it out of your normal bank per turn if it got taken and you were over your normal bank limit. Then i think it would work as a valid game strategy? I reckon it would but ive not been playing as long as most.

I say no - the reason being that your bank, or Alpha Site (or whatever the other races' banks are called) is in one location - i.e. it is not spread out - so how can a planet, millions or billions of miles away increase it's capacity?

Still, why would you have bank "offsite" unless your bank was full? So even if your naq is sent home to leak out naturally, your going to loose it unless you happen to be online, and even then youll have to do some fancy financing to keep it from being taken as repair naq.

Countered by the idea all offsite Naq is taken by the attacker.

And guess what, if you retake in 12 hrs you keep your naq :D

how can anyone have any problem with bank capacity? :?

if you can't afford to keep naq to get that next spy level maybe it's not yet time to get it at all, ever considered that?

Exactly - and it's not as if it isn't already easy to increase bank capacity.

Planets have enough problems without adding new ones.

I agree, the current planet types are enough for me. More than enough, actually. A banking just seems to create more problems than it will be worth. Cute idea, but not extremely practical.

I always just used alliance mates LOL, and I agree. Its just not really needed.

plus you can hide it in brokers if your not in a alliance
