Stop throwing words around that mean pretty much nothing. haha is all I have to say to your post.

Anyone can hit/mass anyone else they want simple as that.

Agree!

The term 'Vulturing' is a croc - full stop! And those that persistently use it are somewhat pathetic.

The term vulture was invented because certain big alliances didn't like it when they were attacked during war by many other people they had previously intimidated. Because of the poor way in which players have demanded the game be developed, you enter a war and you automatically drop your defence to minimise damage - if that happens then of course people will attack you.

At one time it couldn't happen, because you couldn't simply drop your defence without other severe consequences.

Bottom line to all the people who cry about vultures - keep a defence if you don't want it to happen!

Again completely agree

Re: the state of this game.

Difference back in time too was importance of roleplay and race alliances/wars.
Now it's back a bit, but not as much.
It was more ingame style based than community style based.

They seem to think that it is okay for them to be in a war and hit everyone that isn't in it, but as soon as they are hit they cry 'I'm in a war, you shouldn't attack me, you're a vulture, that's not fair, I'm gonna get my alliance to mass you."

Very well put.
I am no longer a regular forum poster – PM ingame or catch me on msn if need be.

I publically apologise to Cap. Lois Lane for my outbursts today.

It was actually quite amusing and healthy. I respect Lois for taking it on the chin and accepting my apology. She kept it all professional.

Unfortunately there are some that have to take it to the lowest of the low and insult me with pedo images. What a disgrace.

I have to ask...about the images in your signatures. Do you MAKE these things yourselves, you know, fabricate them...

or are they actually real...the answer might be here somewhere. I will be damned though if I am going to read four pages of what is going to be 90% a bunch of idiots posting unhinged perceptions/ideas/'values' about a game and beyond.

Re: the state of this game.

The players are part of the problem - always have been. There is no way to win a war, never has been. Back in the EPA/TO war, it lasted a month (epic at the time) and eventually ended up in TO disbanding from within rather than any direct "winner" in game. Over time this has become more the trend rather than the exception - now players are simply too stubborn to have a nice, fun war, call it a day, and carry back on....

Plus, what other people have said - any player can mass any player now - no skill, no preparation, nothing. When I had my attack planets and a decent ms, I could go down an entire alliance and mass them with minimal losses - and its become about who can spend the most time online in one form or another (in long wars, its who can turn farm, in peace, its who can raid)

The game needs a radical re-think. Updates that reward players skill and ingenuity rather than simply button bashing ;)

Hmmm - Some might disagree about the outcome of the EPA/TO war - but in general what you say is correct! :-D

Re: the state of this game.

*blushes* Can you feel the love in this thread? :-D

Anyway, I posted a few random ideas about it here instead of reading about medieval peasant farming:

viewtopic.php?f=13&t=127659

Feel free to comment - sorry that they've all probably been mentioned before, but its our game and Jason will only listen if people make a big enough fuss - so instead of complaining about the good old days - make a fuss :P
