*Shaves her legs, arms, bikini line, eye brows, chin, anything considered "unpretty"
*spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on cosmetics and perfums to try and impress men
*goes on unrealistic and unhealthy diets to try and impress men
*buys attractive clothes to impress men
*wears painful shoes and/or undergarments to impress men
*colours hair to try and impress men
*spends hours doing said hair daily to impress men
*carry about an ever-growing watermelon until its so big it can't fit in your body any more and you're forced to push it out, along with various other vital organs and body parts. It's hot!
*suffer through the pain of pregnancy and labour

A man does for a woman:
*impregnate woman and reap the benefits of a bouncing baby something.
*complains about how much women complain.

There are also men out there that do much of the very same thing. Women aren't the only ones.

Many men will tell you the prettiest women, are the natural women. You know, the women that don't go out and spend thousands of dollars on make up. I'm pretty sure a lot of the men here will agree with me, that they would rather have a pretty wife without make up, then a gorgeous wife with make up who turns into a beast without it.

Hey guess what? You're "unrealistic" diets are useless to the point they actually work against you in many cases. I, and a lot of men, would much rather have a meaty girlfriend, then a chick with nothin' but bones. A modest diet and exercise is all you really need to look good.

Also, don't forget that men have to work out and stay in shape too. You think that a beer swillin' buffoon is going to get a hot date? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You buy "attractive" clothing to impress men, and men buy attractive clothing to impress women. Don't act like women do it all. Men have to work FAR harder to impress a woman, then a woman has to to impress a man.

A tee shirt and panties is quite possibly the hottest thing a woman could wear. And guess what? It's cheap and comfy.

Coloring your hair might impress some men. But honestly, if you have to color your hair, and pretend to be something you're not to appease the man. Is a relationship with him something you really want? Do you think that it will last?

Such lavish hair styles are nice every so often. But you'll find simply combing your hair is enough for most men.




All that said, the two most beautiful women in my college, also happened to be the two that never wore make up, never wore fancy dresses, never had their hair styled in a fancy manner. They were just a couple average girls. I'm not the only one that thought so either, most the men I spoke to(which was most the men on campus, and pretty much everyone in my dorm) thought the very same.

You can always say "oh guys do that too", but its not the case for most guys I have ever met. I've never met a guy who's waxed his bikini line and legs so he could look hot in a swim suit.

You say guys like the natural looking women, when most guys drool over the pin up posters of the likes of waif thin Angelina Jole and Pamela Anderson. One is a very unnatural looking women who may have been punched in the lips several times. The other looks like a dog without a tonne of make up... but no, you're right, you probably just like them for their boobs...


Bottom line is that we try harder than guys to impress. Probably because we are all so used to seeing you fantasise about movie stars/porn stars/amine characters that we want to try and get the same sort of reception as they do, therefore we do all these stupid things to get your attention.

Being gorgeous rarely comes naturally... except one special case I know of.

Most stars HAVE to cake on all the make up because they look horrendous without it.

The thing you have to realize is that a good lot of make up can make any average sally look incredible.

You're right to not trust women who cake it on with a spatular, it disturbs me. The amount of time they spend covering their "imprefections" ; its so bad for your skin so you're making it worse if you have pimples that you're covering.

Natural beauty is something that eveyone strives for, but not eveyone has. If you want to be eye candy, you have to enhance your looks by doing things to make you stand out.

I'm glad to hear that you guys aren't so shallow as to be drooling over unrealistic women who in real life look nothing like what they appear to be in movies/tv shows. Always nice to know there are guys out there looking for a girl-next-door, even when the media tells us you won't be interested unless we cake on the make-up, run on a tredmil for 6 - 8 hours a day and get all hair on our body's surgically removed.

I'm confortable enough with the way I am now, and so is my significant other. I like looking nice, but that has a lot to do with the fact that I want to look nice for my significant other so he feels happier to have me than if I didn't care about my appearance and walked around without any make up in a potatoe sack.

Bottom line, its not really an argument at all as to which gender spends more time and effort on themselves for the opposite sex, or just in general.
