Re: slow server

Well i find, the more powerful your PC. The better your internet connection, and the less malware on your browser, the quicker SGW works..

So if you want the best speed you can get , do those things.

If its still massively sluggish ... too much to bear... to overburdening, then come talk to admin.

Re: slow server

Ever since this update I've been getting bad lag, but its only when i do hostile actions on others (attack, raid, recon, etc). Any other page loads in a fraction of a second.

I timed doing a raid attack and it took just under 5 seconds for the page to load on my end. Looking at the timer at the bottom of the page, i get this:
Time to Load Page battlelog.php at 15:11 : 0.826470 seconds

Now if I load the command center, it takes 0.5 seconds on my end and the SGW timer says:
Time to Load Page base.php at 15:14 : 0.224292 seconds

Now I can understand a .3 second difference, but whats up with the 4.2 second difference while raiding?

:edit:
Those results were with page compression turned off
With page compression on i get the same speed on my end and a slightly better performance on the SGW timer

"Turning compression on" is a slightly misleading phrase. You are merely ticking a box that says you are turning compression on; SGW doesn't actually compress anything either way...

Re: slow server

Well all I know is, that I have always had a little lag, turn change lag was alittle worse. My PC is 10 yrs old I admit, so much of it may be on my end.

Starting with this last update, the game itself runs about 15 to 30 second lag consistantly, turn change is about a minute, sometimes more. Its to the point now where I can't even bank my own naq on turn change, and I can not defend as I can not pull naq out to spend in repairs.

The difference is massive and it all changed in the spann of 48 hrs.

The game is dead to me, I can no longer even play it due to the lag. 3 attacks in one turn is best I can squeeze out now, its pathetic.

Re: slow server

I completely agree. And the war to me is completely useless at this point; I can no longer participate in the farming on turn change. At turn change the lag is so bad that by the time I open an alliance window, everyone has been farmed. And even if someone got skipped over, it takes about 2 minutes for the attack to go through, so I end up hitting nothing.

And no, the problem is not my computer, internet connection, or browser.
