why??

why do i keep finding accounts with like 40%+ of their army defenders?

hmmm but its annoying it like hmmm your income is from your planets which have like near 0 defense.... so and one doesnt even have planets or a commander, and only have a 60 k up... does that mean they dont get on often?

Because with attack planets and a strong ms, people can attack for a lot less and still make a profit - forcing people into a bigger ratio of defence to income if they want to stop the farming.

The paradox is that the same attackers will most likely mass them for having too many killable units.

and since they dont log often they arent aware of how the new updates improved farming , nowdays its usless having a def to stop famring if u dont log at least twice/day.

the farmers have 400b strike bonus form MS + some from planets

Yep.

The other possibility is some are potentially multi's of others. I'm speculating here and not pointing hte finger at anyone. But that can be a cause for a high high defence, as the owner only logs in every now and then, hence to keep naq safe they need a massive defence.

It used to be commonplace to find defensive forces that large - and bigger, but certain (bad) updates made it not necessary, not efficient.

I said from the start all this market and ppt malarkey was a pile of nonsense that would help ruin the game.

I did not have a fond view of raiding as well, when tom twin first told me about it back in 2006, during one of my absent periods...
