Oh, that's just got to suck. There's a lesson in here. Don't drink and click. No, I can see how you would accidentaly click the wrong button. I think the entire commander-officer system is due for an overhaul. It would have to be a 2 way deal, kinda like adding someone on msn. It's not complete until the other side accepts it.

As soon as you build an idiot proof system, somebody else builds a better idiot.
If it moves, kill it. If it doesn't move, kick it until it does move, and then kill it.

It was a joke. Not meant serious. Maybe I should be more careful with that, I'm sorry. I can see how it would be difficult to recognise it as a joke if it's not your native language.

I think it was Fox that suggested that the commander has to send an invite, then the invited person must accept the invitation to become his/her officer. That would work nicely, since no accidental clicks or anything would happen to mess things up.
But yes, something should be done to prevent accidents like that.

That has happened to me at least twice before, but that was back when it was easy to change back commanders and no big deal.
If you have an officer, and you don't want them, all you have to do is dismiss them... So we don't really need commanders to confirm officer requests or anything, as that function exists through dismissal. All we need is a simple screen that says something along the line of "Are you sure you want to make this user your commander?" It's not even complicated, and no one could really object to it...

for me 4 turns worth of income...not much but....the thing is that it woud not have hapend if it wass some chind of advice wen u click the "make this user my commander" buton.....this is my mistake....but it can hapen to anyone.....and if u asign a enemy(as i did) its not good for u its good for your enemy.....its a simple script...or beter it wass if wen u click the boton not to make the user your commander but beter redirect u to a place were u must write "Yes,i am sure i want to make this user my commander"(who playd koc know wath i am talking about)........and to be more nice there coud be as someone(fox or someone else) sad.......wen u click the buton u woud aply to a waiting list ....and await the confirmation to the other user(your future commander).....and u coud remove yourself from the waiting list if u misclick........Spykie wrote:And besides... what's a million?
the commander shoud only have a link to the page containing the waiting list.....and they coud reject or accept the user
a waiting list is simpler and more easy to make that the invitation.....
