We have not. We have stayed pure. True, as System lord is measured in power, however, ANY system lord would not tolerate other races other then slaves this easily.
(In cannon, only 1 SL has shown this trait, Baal, but he did it as he had no empire and was out to save his own skin)
I have seen powerful system lords sit back and watch other members in there alliances talk smack about how the Tauri will smash the Goauld, or the ancients are the most powerful race ever to live. Will these so called races follow and destroy there own kind. Oh, that is the current situation, silly me.
The world has changed. Measuring things in the past is not how it should be done. A true visionary will look beyond the past, see the failings, use the here and now and build.
I have never taken the easy road, never moving to more powerful alliances, sitting behind tags. I have stayed in smaller allainces, working against all those who said it could not be done.
Let me be the light for the new Goauld, to help those intergrate in the older ways and then you truly will have total domination of the other races.
So, I ask, that I should be on that council. Irrelevent what the past says.
Convince me and the rest will follow.
