@sandman:
i try not to judge people, not because it says not to in the bible or because i believe in god and don't want to be judged myself but because its wrong, and by judging someone, you "assume" to much without knowing the facts, but...
by the same token (and just in case someone tries to point out the fact i do judge gays) , being gay is wrong, period! so i don't see myself as judging someone because i wont accept whats wrong.

Re: Homosexual Marraige
I haven’t read all 19 pages but I can say I believe in the sanctity of marriage as existing between one man and one woman. I hold to this view based on tradition, religion, and a social ethicality. A man or a woman may engage by law in whatever is lawful for them to do, however this does not mean that I must or society must bend to their wishes. I believe that in order to protect the nuclear family we must keep certain traditional values in place. The progressivism that is spreading like a cancer through the world will not find safe ground here in my home nor in my country, as expressed by the recent votes against same sex marriage in Florida, California, and Arizona. There is a reason why nature functions as it does for its own betterment, men and women are fundamentally different and are integral to the strong development of children. This movement seeks to erode the needed system of family that has already been torn asunder by casual sex and the vast number of single mothers in this world. The family as we know is falling apart when will we finally take a stand and say enough is enough, well I say we have already started.
You may label me whatever you wish but the fact is you will be saying more about yourself then me when you do so. You may site that I am not politically correct well I am not I am just correct which is fine with me. You may hate me if you wish and that is also fine, but I still love you, so go figure.
I do not agree with the practice of sex outside of marriage nor do I agree with homosexual acts however I am not attacking the person but rather saying I disagree with the action. You can claim I am not enlightened or I have no reason to hold such views but I assure you my reason for my views likely has more validity then the arguments against my view which tend to be based on feelings and band wagon logic.

m8, Matt Damon said it best in Good Will Hunting when he said you could get a harvard education at the local library for a dollar and fifty cents in late charges
Most the things I know I did not learn in school but i read outside of school. I have seen you make very strong conections and very strong arguments its just a matter of sticking to it. Thinking especialy critically thinking must be practiced and then communicating well thats an art lol
Plus never forget its the simple that confound the wise

I am one who although I disagree with Homosexuality I believe they are born with the desires, now here is the difference for me I do not believe it is genetic in the sense that most would but rather that it is a perversion of the natural and a desire for the unnatural that is a product of our sin nature. Originally homosexuality was labeled in the DSM (diagnostic Statistic manual) as a gender identity disorder. This coding was used because it was clear that the desire was indeed unnatural and misplaced normally resulting from a failure to complete the needed developmental and emotional tracks of an adolescent. This labeling was changed in the DSM 2 or 3 and was changed not because of psychological evidence to the contrary but rather because of lobbying groups and political pressures. Today it is more than just a failure to develop the needed connections to ones gender but it has taken on a cultural significance which has increased the problem. Now it is a lifestyle in which one can fit into, if you are a little different well maybe you are gay and if so they will accept you where others may not, this can clearly be seen if you look, it is people in many cases fitting in to society. Whether it is the college girl who feels she is supposed to experiment in college because that is what everyone does or whether it is countless other situations that are social in nature, the very idea that one would ask am I gay exposes this very clearly because if one where indeed gay they would clearly have a desire for the same sex but rather this choice becomes in many cases today a failing back position. Now there still are those that inexplicable had this desire from a young age isn’t it also telling that almost all these cases (no matter how much Homosexual groups desire to ignore it) have gender issues, it isn’t the normal football playing boy running around with a toy gun shooting the Indians that is confused but rather the young boy that when choosing to play with dolls was not redirected by his parents and to the correct and non confusing gender role. The issue comes down in this case to what the role of a parent is. Some would say that we should let the young boy play with dolls because he is choosing and that is his choice but what tey fail to realize is these interactions come at a social price and the child can recognize looks and emotional cues from other adults and children that confuse him. His parents have told him that it is okay but no one else is accepting this behavior and since the boy has not been redirected to the correct toy he does not know what to do and hence his confusion at an integral stage in devolvement. There are countless explanations and infinite circumstances that change so I recognize my examples do not fit every case but I assure you each case is explainable with correct use of psychology and an understanding of sociology and roles.

hmmm that might be true. hard to know aye
blondes, redheads are endangered species now
raises the question that maybe there would be way more gays around if they hadnt been somewhat 'bred' out? so the fact that they are uncommon shows genetic selection at work over time?
could jus be something which is recessive and persists in the gene pool like diseases. even though they may kill their carrier, enough still gets passed to continue their existence.
wait a minute. why would there be a genetic cause for homosexuality in the 1st place? there should be no gay genes to be 'bred' out
notes/
most of this assumes there is a genetic link to homosexuality.
i am not claiming homosexuality is a disease.

Re: Homosexual Marraige
What's with all the prevision of nature, unatural,...etc arguments
You guys realize that nature is bisexual. There is so much homosexual activity going on in nature, i bet it would make some of your heads spin.
Now if your talking about it being unnatural in a religious sense, then i can understand.

Re: Homosexual Marraige
things happen in nature all the time that are unnatural, of course I don't want to get into a debate over the meaning of the word but basically the way I am using the term is to imply that it is not the created order or way of action.
I don't think it is to hard to understand that is not the way things where designed to work no matter what process you think created us or by which we where created

Lol no, It's just doesn't align with your proper way of action. It obviously occurs in nature so who am I to say that's not the way it's supposed to work.
One thing i know is that nature doesn't encourage counter productive behaviors very well (it eliminates them). So i think more study need's to be done to say if it is an undesirable characteristic within the natural world.

Re: Homosexual Marraige
Technically marriage is an institution of the church as it is currently defined. Governments attempting to define what can constitute a marriage is something I find humorous. I personally could care less if a homosexual or lesbian couple wish to have a civil union. However, them having a marriage would be an entirely different thing that would need to be approved by a church and well we all know what the bible says about that.
The definition of the term marriage and who holds jurisdiction over the institution is what I would debate.
