Discussion about the war is meant to go into the discussion thread which is ... well rarely used compared to the war thread. I doubt that a 5th thread for our war will be supported.

While you may have missed the application deadline, I'm noticing that they haven't bothered PMing those who didn't get accepted. And I just 'lol' at some of the 'activity' of the selections.

Maybe we are meant to be psychic.

Or maybe you have not not been selected as of yet?

Did anyone say that the admins have stopped appointing mods, or just stopped accepting applications?

Have you not noticed that they have been introducing new mods and removing certain mods in periods or 'waves'? I mean... lets take a look back here.

Svarun's pm's were not replied to? Well hold the phone. How many pm's do you think the forum admin gets in a day on here? You may think thats its not acceptable, but there are given ways of how to make complaints. Applications were given a deadline, and you were approaching the admins personally to, well, lets bottom line it here, to be given a favour.

A pm is probably NOT the way to go.

When various people with the authority to know, tell you that you have not been selected, then yes, you know you have not been selected. The application process was to be via PM so I presumed - perhaps wrongly - that they would at least PM to tell you that you had not been selected, rather than letting you find out via other means.

Svarun's PM not being answered is regrettable but understandable too given that he missed the dead line. I'm not arguing that one. I was more commenting on the procedure in place for information distribution.

The Day Today, Was the day mods where appointed, The day is not yet over...And people have not been informed, This is down the person who was meant to PM everyone...I dont know why it hasnt been done yet, but as soon as they are online im sure there job will be done. However i think you can all agree the installation and smooth overlap of the new mods, is a little bit more important than Pming people and letting them know they have not been successful, there are only so many people availiable who can make the transition Smooth, And so that is what has been happening, All day.

People who want ego trip, generally dont give a toss, maybe even have a warning or 2 - congrats

So what does it take to be a mod,

Get a warning ?
Get banned ?
Fake being in a coma ?
Say your quiting the game 5 times to get attention to become an admin ?

Like i told lore via PM its clear you have to wrack up the warning, so im sure if you can find 1 for this post feel free to make it 1 of 3.

I have since been told that apparently i wasnt successful because of some of my previous posts in the past TO WHICH I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A WARNING, yet at least 1 of the mods who was appointed has a warning, and hell a current mod was removed, had a ban then was reinstated so yea.

So who decided 3 admins

Buck - mmm well there was that time me and geisha went against you!
Robe - i was told on msn by a mod that i would not be successful because i was FUALL and you would block it
Lore - who knows but at this post 2 against 1, makes no difference really

So it really does come down to who you know, and how much you can suck up to them, because hell if you have an opinion your screwed.

You can have a smooth implementation all you want but lack of information does not translate to smoothness or acceptance, it's the opposite actually.

Who you know? No its not who you know, or even what you know, I happen to hold you in very high regard, hell we have even spoken via the teamspeak, if it was who you know, Youd be a Mod. But its how you act, How you maintain yourself, and how you react to certain situations.

That intension may have been there, but it was not caaried into writeing, nor was i told about that intension if that intension existed.

Well i dunno about you man, but i was contacted on msn *will never say who by, dont wanna drop them in it* and they told me point blank i would not get to be a mod on here because robe wouldnt allow it because im FUALL, yet i notice people that have warnings and bans are getting made mods.

Mods were selected against the guiding principles.
The 3 Administrators (one is FUALL and one is Ex FUALL and one has never been in FUALL) consulted the GMs (several of which are FUALL) and the votes did not fall in your favour this time.

If you are still interested in being a mod then you, like all other applicants, are welcome to reapply when we next call for vacancies.

I suggest you stop listening to malicious gossip and review your posts in forum because that is probably the basis for the recommendations made by your peers.

Ok, lets forget for a second that your entire post was made a contradiction by your last point, and lets focus on the finer details.

You were disallowed, and turned down. Hahaha...it obviously means a lot to you. So now you have the sulking fit. Yeah, go ahead and say no, or just insult me. I Certainly dont care...lol, old Semper knows better than that. Ive seen similar situations a million million times.

Lets forget that to then, and look at the three examples of people you chose. All three, may have character flaws (as we all do) however, all three have shown many a time, that they are intelligent, that they are mature enough and that they are of strength of character enough to hold the position and take what comes with it, without breaking and retaliating, they can do their job.

Its like the old tale of a drug addict making the best councillor because they are going through the same thing. People who have broken the rules, would presumably generally know how far people have had to go to break them in the past, thereby making them far more adept at redefining those rules.

Furthermore. Your claims of bias on the accounts of Robe and Buck are outstanding! How can you ever expect to be a mod if you could ever reduce yourself to a level to imply such things, truth or not.

I agree with the admins on this topic. They gave a time frame for you to get on and apply. I wanted to be a Mod to, I contacted Lore he told me to wait till the next time, so I will be waiting and I will apply with in the time frame given.

Look, there will always be hard feelings when you apply and are denied.


Future applications will be looked at next time, by how they reacted to this time.
Look, I remember a couple of years back trying to become a mod....yeah, that didn't happen.
In fact, the reason I was denied at the time, was solely because I asked lol. But that was a different time.(I think it was Psi's Rein?)

The 3 admins consulted the supermods. Based on those recommendations, and their own judgement...They rendered their decision.
I CAN NOT think of a fairer way of doing things. They are the boss, the mods the employee's. Everyone filled out their application...

Maybe submitted a resume....(don't forget your cover letter).

And certain applicants were hired, the rest are told that their resumes are on file (if you submitted one), and better luck next time.



Let's step back, take a deep breath, and remember that there will be another day. Maybe by then, i'll no longer be ombudsman and i'll
submit a resume. Should I not be selected, I will gracefully fade into the general population and hope that others follow my example.

But what sort of come back was that? It would take you 45mins to read my post? Or even a long time? I would be applying to help with reading classes, or going back to school, let a lone a position as a mod....
