I find all this extremely interesting.... It reminds me of that episode where Daniel Jackson was pretending to be Yu's slave, and he was at a meeting and all the snake heads were struggling for power and insulting each other.

This council is not a new idea or becoming of something new, yet it's a transformation of the old System Lords who have ruled the galaxies in the past. Our dominions were far and vast, we have destroyed all who have opposed us and have taken on countless planets as slave driven minions of our hordes have gone forth and devoured all in their path.

This is simply our announcement to the return of the old times and old rulers. It is true, some of the old rulers are in other galaxies right now fighting our foes and expanding our dominion. However, we have returned to take control once again of this galaxy, those whom we left in charge prior have been slayed for their lack of obedience and their merciless.

We will regain control of our planets and purge and destroy all who stand before us and challenge us! We will appoint new Lords to help us manage our vast empires! If one wishes to be apart of our empire or apart of our leading crews one must submit to the power of the gods and announce their allegiance with us! United we stand to fight all who oppose us!

Alliances went this way as they found that they could not compete.
We have not. We have stayed pure. True, as System lord is measured in power, however, ANY system lord would not tolerate other races other then slaves this easily.

(In cannon, only 1 SL has shown this trait, Baal, but he did it as he had no empire and was out to save his own skin)

I have seen powerful system lords sit back and watch other members in there alliances talk smack about how the Tauri will smash the Goauld, or the ancients are the most powerful race ever to live. Will these so called races follow and destroy there own kind. Oh, that is the current situation, silly me.

The world has changed. Measuring things in the past is not how it should be done. A true visionary will look beyond the past, see the failings, use the here and now and build.

I have never taken the easy road, never moving to more powerful alliances, sitting behind tags. I have stayed in smaller allainces, working against all those who said it could not be done.

Let me be the light for the new Goauld, to help those intergrate in the older ways and then you truly will have total domination of the other races.

So, I ask, that I should be on that council. Irrelevent what the past says.

Still does not make him worthy. He is not very System Lord like. That is one of the fundamental requirements of being on it. Not to mention age and experience within the game terms. I am not sure why _willie_ is on it, he is hardly deserving, however he obviously knows Su, ergo.. he gets on the list.

while i have been asked not to speak for the empire i will speak for myself and out of character too

when i began this game i chose early on to switch alliances to the GE and since then under the great teachings and directions of maha vishnu i have prospered and have a small footing on which to build up to become a decent army in the game this would have been impossible in other smaller alliances and one's that are two a penny and badly run

while the GE is not perfect it still has plenty of potential and i have complete faith and loyalty to it's leader maha vishnu it's of course the very least i can do to repay his generosity and influence

insulting whom i consider a great diplomat player and person in such a way as to call him not fit to be the ground you walk on although more than likely rping and not meant as a serious insult is however just not on

simply saying that from what i've seen of this so called return of the old way's which obviously failed ultimately i reckon that the options of join it and be subject to it's regime or to quit the game and say stick your proposal and threats where the sun don't shine is looking far more attractive on the second choice over the first

simply put while i have to respect power in this game i don't have to subject myself to tyranny when i've been shown that other way's of playing as a goa'uld which is working exceedingly well and to ruin my gaming experience on sgw by acting in such a manner is not what i consider being a good thing in an mmo

if our leader maha vishnu is accepted and the GE is incorporated and cooperation is ensured then it's a good thing and i'm all for it

but as it is from what it seem's all that is being proposed here is favouritism and bullying of the large over the small and i'd rather delete my account and ruin all my work than be a part of that

and i'm sure that with the new era of players and up and coming talent not many will willingly change their views just because you can mass them instead you will only orchestrate your own downfall

at the end of the day any player is simply going to think about the smaller picture and ask what does this get me by agreeing to the term's and from what i can see by the general rp attitude it's simple....it get's you jack all and it's better to simply weather any repercussions from not joining and wait it out or leave the game

so i ask simply what exactly is it you're trying to accomplish?

what are you offering other than a time of servitude under this supreme system lord group?

are you honestly asking us to submit our free will as players simply on a whim of yours??

if the last question is answered with a yes then i'd rather take my chances with ANYONE else but this new regime


(remember i'm speaking ooc and not on behalf of the GE so there is no need to take this ingame it's merely an opinion of a 23 yr old dude from ireland who's starting in this game and whom has had his respect earned from the GE and is going to remain loyal to them until the end)

Did anyone in this thread watch SG-1? Do you know what a System Lord is? The council they made? Have you read my info thread on the Goa'uld and the System Lords?

Do any of you know the meaning of role play...and why the hell are so many of you putting such a massive value on a person's name being on a list. Geeze...I like to role play as a System Lord...so..here goes..

These might be valid wars for you but untill you can say you hve gone up against the best and held your own you are not worthy of that spot. From what I have seen out of Maha is a lack of leadership. One of the requirements to be on the council. lack of the Thirst for domination over others (war). you have had maybe 2 decent wars.

To answer you statement Semper if you wish i can show you in game why I am on the council. Ranked 18th atm in military exp. most from actually being in wars. Been in I would say close to 20 different war allainces and 3 1 vs 1 the alliance wars all but 2 were either a draw or a clear win (ie surrender). I am 2IC to probably the most war active allaince in the game at the moment.

I do not need to explain why I am on the council, not to mention before i asked to be put on the council i really didn't know Su.

now if your done trying to put me down you may move along. dont you have some jaffa that need taken care of?
