You obviously don't read those forums much if you think it was an epic fail.

Now back to something interesting, if I did care about them, I would have tested what was told to me awhile ago by Syreck, that lifers gave little extra bank space from what miners gave.
Anyway, lifers are troops that survive ascension, so if you are in the process of ascension...that's already that, which you don't have to look for.
