still a bit of a newbie, so looking for any information i can get,
G and R points are needed to ascend, you can get them between the 2000-1800 Rank and up. 1000 of these points are needed to ascend.
Altogether you only wanted to know what are G and R points, I just wanted to point this out. If I heard correctly, you have to wait 3 weeks per ascension, even if you generated enough G and R points to ascend within the 3 weeks, you still have to wait 3 weeks per ascension. Don't take my word on it.

You heard incorrectly, it's 2 weeks between ascensions.
