Though I think this should be in FAQ's, planetary UP should kick in immediately after ascension.

Unless you forget to rebuy your UP, because planets only contribute 50% (per planet) of your base UP.

You have it correct. Once ascended, you need to buy back at least some aspect of your raw UP in order to benefit from any planetary bonuses.

I agree you have to rebuy your up and all the rest so that the planetary bonuses kick in, but shouldn't they be more after each ascension (say 1% more). IE a prior's planets should contribute 51%, a prophet's 52%, and so on
