really to stop this "war" it needs 2 things

1 people to stop massing each other for little to no reason (i.e. "ZOMG they hit me for 150billion naq on my 200billion defence! Mass their alliance!!" < that is a common favourite reason amongst most of FUALL and TTF)
2) people to carry on build up defences etc and just get on with playing the game and starting wars with other alliances... I mean damn half the alliances on the first page of the alliance rankings I have no idea who the hell they are!

now that is just not right... the war needs to end purely so we can get familiar and old school alliance names back on that page otherwise it just aint SGW

Maybe admin should have an auto war system so that multi player attacks / alliance attacks auto war people & auto start standard blood realm wars?

Your only persistant in that you are narrow minded (in the sense of believing that one side will give in out right) neither side will "win" from this... its just a case of how long will it carry on for...

and if you keep the attitude that you believe you remotely have a chance of winning you are not opening up your mind to opportunities to move past this "war" and onto the next era of SGW.

Yea - but they need to be triggered some way & he needs to auto post in the forums when a war is started.

Or make it you can't mass some one unless you set them to war or are in blood realm?

No Player can get attacked more then 20 times a day & raided more then 20 times a day if not set to war or in blood realm - so you can still farm & raid

and do the promote the end of a war? no... they are pointless stat shuffling war types...

if you want to end a war you need to have a solid basis of a fixed point at which the game says you have lost or won...

having a "war" run for 24 hours and base a victory or loss on what was killed vs what died isn't a way of proving a victory...

basing it on the members of your alliance and a fix point system losing points when members leave or vac and even when planets are taken... this way if all of the members of the alliance stay and dont go on vac you have a way of punishing them and recording that statistic...

In my sig is a link to a thread I made a LONG time ago... with a system which can cope with multiple warring alliances (such as empire vs empire and faction vs faction) this applies a system of points based on the number of members on each side and forced a loss of those points as things progressed to provide a better system of win or loss rather than who had the most stuff to lose and as such with the current war types based on number of units killed etc is going to end off much worse... because its fabulous to have full stats and the alliance attacking you has nothing...

Placing the server war into the "system" I created this would have ended after about 2 months basing it on the number of people that have dropped out on either side and also losses incurred and so on.

But now we are in a purpetual state of pissing into the wind... see who can get it to go futher... which is utterly pointless

Out of all the reasons concievable this is easily top 5 worst ones. infact, everyone with said mentality belongs into this war.

What makes these no name alliances less worthy than us? Nothing. Why havent you heard of many of them? Cos people in this war are 10% egomaniacs with god complexes and 90% drones following commands making 400member coalitions to get the ego pandering of being "HC of a ruling coalition" or whatever it is they were lol. Cos they/we kept, directly or inderectly, these players to the ground - when they werent preocupied as now.

I`m not saying I`m madre theresa taking the bullet for some noname sgw people, I`m not, wth do I care, but seing some XYZ between ranks 2-10 (despite all they say about rank being nothing DDE never fails to find 1-2 hundred mil UU to have acer baloons give some projection of power that isnt there - kudos for that heh), while the likes of Omega linger in the second part of page 2.
Every newbie to sgw that goes "omega who" makes my day hehe. The more time it pases the more these old rocks of power fade, in all aspects heh.
Good for the entire game if you ask me.
