Just had an idea inspired from my quantitative research methods module:

Create a survey (whether in proper format, or simple question forms and scales for answers) about key issues ingame/on the forums. Send a mass PM. Keep the survey short - answers easy to fill in, preferably answers involving numerical scales (0-10 kind of thing).

Just an idea to get a mass response from everyone - although it'd take a lot of effort on your end to analyse the data ;)
