Ok, quick question I got SS from the market, making two trades and got PPT with it..fine I did two more trades, at the same time(so counted as one) at the market and didn\'t get PPT with it. Should I have? It seem like I should have because of the 8 PPT limit per month. Spacey

You got your first PPT... Then you imidietly traded again and didn't get PPT?
If that is how it happened and you didn't wait for the first PPT to expire the second wouldn't add on. That might be the reason.

if your officer bought ss then bought another one before the first was over the ppt will not add up

if your officer means he bought ss then bought something else like uu after it expecting ss also then no he should have got anther ppt

if your officer means he bought the ss waited untill his first ppt was over then bought another ss and never got his ppt then he should report that

Ok,

Since inception of the Market, I've made three trades.

1.) The first was for some turns and UU, which gave SS and some other nice bonuses, including PPT after doing the trade(multiple of 2).

2.) The second was one trade of 8K UU and some turns(I think), for naq and not PPT(multiple of 1).

3.) The third trade was for 16K UU for naq(multiple of two).

My question centres around the third one. It was a trade for 8K UU, with a multiple of 2, and I didn't get PPT with it. Was I supposed to? It seems like I should have because in order to make the total of 8 PPT per month you need to have 2 PPT a week, or a total of 16 multiples for the month with each trade being 2 in magnitude[2 PPT a week corresponding to 2 multiples a week(total 4 multiples a week) for 4 weeks= 16 for the month(the sum of the numbers you'll have to have in the multiple field in the market for the month)].

I'm pretty sure my numbers and reasoning is correct for the lower limit. So, the lowest number of multiples that could be done to reach a total of 8 PPT per month would be 2 transactions per week, with a multiple of 2, for four weeks, leaving a total of 4 transactions unused for the limit for month(if were calc. per month) assuming that you can only get PPT when doing a multiple greater than 1, and knowing that the lowest multiple of 8 that meets the prior requirement, is 2.

So, water all that down...was I supposed to get PPT for the third transaction?

P.S. the time between trades was never close enough to have overlapping PPT

Let me make this as simple as I can....
You get PPT when trading for SS or 1/2SS
I do not think you get PPT when doing normal trades... Multiples or not.

Really? You can only get PPT for SS?

How does a SS trade differ from a normal trade? If a normal trade only differs from a SS trade based on whether or not you have SS to begin with, how can you get 8 PPT per month?

I made a mistake too...

when I said: "2 PPT a week corresponding to 2 multiples a week(total 4 multiples a week) for 4 weeks"

it's actually 2 PPT a week for 2 transactions a week(2 multiples per transaction twice a week=4 multiples a week)

You calculations would have been correct, and it would have been superflous... But I think (I'm not sure) that you may have forgotten that you can also get PPT from paying real $$$ without the use of market turns. And that you can purchase more SS.

And yes, judging by that post you do tend to make things more complicated But thats a good thing... A much needed break from the oversimplification of many of this sections dinizens.

Keeping it simple:
When you first pick up SS (purchased with $$$ or MT) you will get PPT and the ability to trade resources plus some other small bonuses.
After wards, the only way to get PPT is by donating $$$, or trading for SS / 1/2SS. (Mods correct me if I am wrong... I do not think I am)
Since there are 3(total) Donations/Market turns a week it would be possible without the 8PPT per month limit to have PPT for almost the entire month.

no! you only get PPt if trading for 2 halfs of SS
