At time of posting I think I had the highest strike techs, but I'm not sure :P

Dragons Program Enhancement (increases all Dragons stats) 1,190
Weapons SuperCharger (increases all unit attack weapons power) 1,640
Shield SuperCharger (increases all unit defence weapons power) 1,890
Cloaking Generators (increases all covert&anti-covert unit abilities) 1,830
Mothership Hull Power Infusor (increases shield and weapon power) 2,545

HAHA, Nothing even near the top!!

So how are dragons a viable option?

An excellent analysis and exactly the type of arguement we needed when trying to make a case to Admin about the need for immediate change to the Dragons THIS era instead of waiting... HAHA

No matter how you do it the math doesn't work out... However, after recently becoming the target of a handful of fun-loving massers in the game (i.e. Referencing my 'Regulators Quandary' many of you received via PM in the game) I have found that when adminJason told us that "Dragons are the rock, the wall by which your Attack/Defenses rests or stands upon" I think I see his point.

My weapons seemed much more easy to Mass/Sab during the period when I lost all the dragons than when I had them. So I choose to keep the Dragons, and may even consider employing them as a total weapons strategy like HE. It takes several pages of 12-15 turn attacks to bring down strongly Tech'd Dragons, but only a half page or 10-12 Sab attacks/turns to Mass a nearly equivalent or even stronger value weaponry. And weapons can be sabbed by a huge covert (i.e. Regulators Quandary) whereas Dragons must be attacked head-on with brute force. If I need to choose a Defense that someone has to really bite off a chunk of change (in NAQ repair to weapons, lost Army spies) to bring down versus one that can easily be Sabbed cheaply then right now I choose the one that causes at least a little dent to the opponent to bring down.

Am I far off here? Just going by my observations to my account and haven't really crunched numbers on it.

meh i don't feel like winning, so i'm playing around.
and they are GREAT for farming!
now if only the techs didn't start out 10x as expensive to begin with.
