Due to the link on the recruitment page being abused by some players forcing me to limit it to 5 untrained units a day.
I'm now taking steps to balance the accounts.
We've decided to unleash a plague (capable of disintegrating even the molecular bonds of a replicator) on every planet killing all untrained units.
Your planets will then be repopulated with the correct amount of untrained units. This will be based on your current birth / replication / cloning rate multiplied by the number of days since the StarGateWars: Origins realm came into existance (about 10 days ago).
Your scientists have developed immune nanites that can fight off the plague, only a handful of these nanites exist, they are distributed amongst your trained units. Because of these nanites compensation in the amounts of untrained units returned will be capped at the maximum untrained units you could have less the number of units you have trained.
Any player that made a donation to keep the realm stable received news of the impending plague via a subspace link giving them more time to develop and distribute the nanites amongst their population. These players will not be affected by this change. Due to an error in the mass repopulation these players may receive an additonal day or two worth of untrained units.
We are simply removing all UU from play, and refunding all players UU equal to their UP multiplied by the number of days since the StarGateWars: Origins launched (10) less any trained units you have.
Someone with 45 UP and 20 units trained for each class (attack, defence, spy, and anti spies) would have their current UU replaced with 370 units.
Players who have donated to keep the server running will not be affected by this update. They will be compensated for the issues that may arise by this update to the amount of 50-100 untrained units.
Re: Unit Production Balancing
woah...
How can you say abused?? You left it that way from the start. Now if it wasn't limited to 51 a day, which btw the rules said 50. Then yes i could see abused. But the RULES said 50. So those of us that used it did so by the rules. Things like this are the reason why so many are leaving.
Such crap.
Your going to screw the people that worked on getting the link clicked?
Once again the admins prove if you spend money we will let you do what ever you want.

Does this mean your basically resetting all accounts, say you have 50 attackers and 50 defenders trained and armed, are they going to become untrained again????, will covert and anti covert become untrained again
If thats the case, i dont think ill bother with the game from the point of update.
Good Luck

Deep within Noob Cave, you find a strange pool filled with a glowing blue liquid. You think back to what your mother told you about unfamiliar liquids found in caves.
You're pretty sure she said "Drink it! What's the worst that can happen?"

Re: Unit Production Balancing
I can respect you trying to fix the problem here gary...
but I think you are hurting more than satisfying more, and taking the game back two steps.
1. The better idea would either be to just leave it as it is now, and let the plague hit anyone over 650 units, reducing them to a resonable level in conjunction to what their UP+ the 5 clicks a day would have got them for the time they played.
OR
2. just give everyone units up to a max of 750 or so depending on their UP and time being played (no doubt equally as easy to code as the destroyer was).
OR
Just leave it as it was, let us suck it up and keep going with the new limits in place.
Either or.
Destroying uu bases, and favouring the donators (even though it is the right thing to do) because of your own lack of foresight is just not the way to do it.

If you took the time to read through the post you'll see only untrained unit are affected, not trained ones.

Stop complaining, better playing a game balanced than playing a game where the firsts to abuse a whole get the lead, take your leave if you feel you abused the game and cannot get away with it.

no. Trained units will be unaffected, and all accounts will have an amount of uu given to us depending on how long we have been playing. If you have been playing 10 days you will get 10xyour current UP in total units...
EG
so if you have been playing 10 days and have 40UP income.. you would have 400 max units, if you have 70 in trined units through attack, defence, covert and asc then you will have 330 untrained and all your trained units would be unaffected.
Anyone who donated is being left UNAFFECTED and given an extra 100-150 units on top as far as I can see... which is bollocks to be quite frank.

Not quite.
All players, no matter if they signed up today, or at launch will see the full effect of this bonus.
People who have donated received units as part of a benefit from donating. We cannot take their units away.
I also said may receive an extra 50-100 untrained units, not 100-150 untrained units. This is completely dependent on how the rebalancing of untrained units works, and if we determine that it is necessary to compensate players who have donated.
We are not taking this situation lightly. We realise there was a mistake made that allowed the abuse of the recruitment page link. We are attempting to fix this problem to the best of our ability.
We welcome any input anyone has on this matter, which is why I've placed a link to this forum right below the banner on the game, and dispite having finished the script that would complete this untrained unit balance I have yet to execute it so that I may make changes if required.

Re: Unit Production Balancing
Gary,
from what i can see the ultimate clicker got up t0 700 or so. just pro rate accounts up to certain amout. 500 below- 20% up 400 below- 30% 300 -40%
Also are you saying this will effect trained unit or not. lot of people working their butt off to train them to play this game and that would be unfair cause maybe 5 people who got 100-200 extra units from this...

Re: Unit Production Balancing
we all started with 200 UU anyway so those of us who have an account since the beginning are going to get reduced down to 400-450 or thereabouts so not really putting it the way it would be which would be around 600 if we keep the 200 we started with not really seeing the balancing effect

ok... so if someone clicked lots of times the link and then donated... it will get to keep what he did from the mistake... and maybe a reward 50-100 uu ?
its a joke right ?

We have a record of who donated what, we know roughly how many units they received. We won't allow people who abused the link to receive more units during this process then what they would naturally get through UP, and donations.

I don't believe as yet that the update has been actioned. As there are a few people still over 700 units, and 1 that I have found over 800 units...
