to update your stats, just buy one weapon, sell one weapon, buy one attack/def unit, or such -- only when the game expects the stats to change, does it update them

Regarding the new weapons, is there a reason that I have 8 attack weapon options but only 7 defense options? I (and I assume other Goa'ulds) do not have the Al'kesh equivalent defense weapon. The choices go from Invisibility Technology (strength 85,000) straight to Networked-Gate Energy Pulse (strength 290,000) for defense with no Al'kesh equivalent (strength 170,825) in between as there is with the attack weapons.

This doesn't seem right. Is that the way it is with all races?
