I think replicators are fascinatingly effective toys. Noone but one of my kind could have made such creatures.

The presence of a Jaffa on that ship shows that it belonged to a goa'uld.
The image also shows that ship has a pel'tak, and therefore it is a ha'tak, not a Tel'tak transport.

The type of armor on that jaffa indicates it was either in the service of Apophis or of Sokar. That may or may not be the case though.

Yu and Apophis have never been minor lords...

What happend is just caused by scenarists' decisions because they wanted to bring a new enemy, many series have nonsenses because they don't care much of things.
