Covert Vs. Anti Covert

So here is something weird...

I have been doing a lot of recon lately and some of the people I spy on have 0 Anti-Covert Operatives. But how come I can't see any if not all of their stuff then? I have about 180 bill covert power....

Is it not giving me accurate information and they do have spies? (I don't think that is the case)
Are there armies just too big to spy on with my amount of covert operatives?

One more thing, what do the higher ranking people have for Anti-covert?
I've posted a few attack logs a while back and more than one person suggested I lessen my anti-covert operatives.

When spying you need to beat their covert power with yours. Anti-Covert is only used for killing spies when attacking with ac trained

Here its covert power VS covert power.

AC is used only to kill spies and then is generally untrained since if you hit any kind of defense no matter how small, AC units are killed in high numbers.

So anticovert is pretty much useless unless I want to kill a spy of theirs?
That sucks considering I just upped my anticovert skill for a ton of naq, well to me it is. I saved and attacked forever to get it up...... Great...

yeh, unfortunately its your covert skill is what you want to upgrade. You only need AC if you want to kill spies or easily gain rank.

I find the best ratio is to have ac 1 level lower than covert, thereby allowing you to gain the same amount of power per uu invested for each

I have spy level 30 and ac 28, and I get 670B (somewhere around that) on both when I train 1m of both groups..
I think your calc is a little off, Apog.

Yes AC 2 lvls lower than Spy lvl gives the same power.
