Mothships Def Vs Attack

Okay so here is the question

When one attacks or is attacked how does the difference in MS def vs attack work?

IE:
1 MS attack is 50% less of def
2 MS Def is 50% less the attack

which is worth more on an MS a larger attack or a Larger Def?

AFAIK

You have to get above the shields before you start destroying anything else.

Take for example:

5k volleys will get you: Offense Strength 9,950,000,000

5k shields gets you: Defense Strength 14,950,000,000

You have to get your offense power above the shields (including fleets) (and yes you can mass the shields) before you start damaging the volleys.

But to answer your question: It all depends on how you play.
