Who are the most powerful people in this game?

For me the most powerful people are the ones behind the scenes that direct politics and causes problems awhile being unseen by the vast community.

Firstly, I did not insult him.. I merely stated facts.

Secondly he insulted my intelligence by posting over and over again the same point implying I was incapable of reaching such a simplistic point by myself after I had been an active member of the thread. I believe he feels that exactly what I just did to him... Of course though, if mine was an insult and derogatory.. then of course his will have to be too... you can't have it both ways.

It's very hard in these situations... have you not noticed that my supporting cast in their theatre of hell is a veritable who's who of incompetent puppets? To be honest, I don't care lol. @ LN.. on topic about the power stuff. I like the thing from James Bond.. a man is measured by the strength of his enemies. Perhaps a little different from what this thread is completely about.. but I feel it has some merrits. Look at Eros and AGA and their enemies for a little example.

As for the mod issue, if I posted in either of their manners I would expect such a replies from someone. I agree this community should be a nice place, and a respectable environment, that however HAS to be earned, and there are other things that should be punished and not rewarded.

One of the most obvious examples what I consider a powerful player is EnterTheLion. In his heyday, ETL had access to the forums of almost all of the major alliances in the game and the ear of the admin. Bad Wolf and I used to joke that he had a red telephone on his desk which went directly to Jason. The speed with which he could acrew information, and make things happen, was astonishing. Half of the time ETL would manipulate his opponents into destroying one another and alter the balance of power without lifting his finger; using players and alliances like pawns on a chessboard. That, to me, is power.

He isn't the only one, of course. Robe is a lot more shrewd than she lets on, Semper has access to all sorts of information which, arguably, he shouldn't and Gunz commands a great deal of respect amongst both his friends and enemies. All three, I would say, are powerful in their own rights.

Enterthelion Is such the Obvious example of how it was, And i bet he could still do most of what he used too if he had the inclination, Such is his standing.

Esker is the only other player i think who came to standing close to EtL in terms of Minipulation and forum respect.

There is not anyone like that now, The dynamics of the game have changed much since then, And i think it would be quite impossible to suggest anyone is one of the most powerful. Perhaps a list of 30 or 40 people who are very influencial, But nothing on a Par with the Power EtL Commanded Back in the day. I doubt we will see anyone like that ever again.

Definatly agreed though Robe is a good runner up. She also has used skill aswell ingame and as in forum to persuay things her way without having to do much for it. Shes still one of the top noches in TTF and has been her for as long as ETL.

i agree with some of the older players on previous power but then again everything develops and the old names you have mentioned would only be known to me through the rambles of older players. Influence ingame now is a differnet matter and expect for say gunz most tend to keep quieter. There is very few that i would ever consider as powerful on their own now

alittle off topic but ill answer since it is an issue. I have them and so do a large % of SGW forum members, the ones who dont have them were online and deleted the messages as they came in.

Definatly agreed on the Clarkey part. SGW is a lot cleaner thanks to him. He definatly did a lot for the game and community.

But as always its all a matter of point of vieuw. Each person has his/her oppinion about the statement and one can only be seen that way. There is no real way to point out a winner and we all know that. But for each person their memory is what matters

I think the fact that his "blog thread" still hasn't been moved yet shows there's a fair bit of power left in those paws
