well, he just lost 30 gods + 40b worth of weapons, you can have the next load he builds
I was trying to look at him actually, I see he was phased out for covert activity, lol. I also discovered that the changes to friendly fire activity havent affected covert either... I was getting the 15second wait message even though I hadnt yet spied him.
I really hope the changes made to attacking, to prevent friendly fire defence, were successful.

As for Cyber Demon, I'd be happy to let it go if he promises to stop doing it.
Like I said I didnt accept his resignation, he was going to delete his account over this, I know he wont do it again, but please feel free to pm him over this. I cant afford to be losing good members lol
As for your point Sleepy im forced to agree also, this may slow things down, or it may just make matters worse, but lets just sit back and see what happens...
I dont expect him to quit or be banned over this, I'm sure he's nowhere near as bad as Fearless was, I just want it to stop. If people cant play fairly, then whats the point?
Im sure that whoever wins would prefer their victory to be based on skill rather than who can cheat the most and get away with it.

What do you mean that there are ways?
It's called a proxy, or i believe if you reformat your computer your IP changes...(not 100% on that one).
In other words, IP bans don't do much at all unless the player is a moron.
The fact that you play a game like this (which generally means you are somewhat interested in various computer related things...like proxies) means that you playing ignorance on knowing any way around an IP ban simply makes it look more suss..
Although that is just my opinion
Yah, Sorry to burst the bubble on this one hippy,
Formatting your computer to change you IP address is so funny I would pay to see it happen!!
IP addresses are given to you by your ISP as you connect to the internet.
With most ISP's every time you connect to the net, you get a different IP address, this is called a DYNAMIC IP ADDRESS (changes with each connection to the internet).
Therefore, IP Bans = Useless...
It would ban somebody until, oh say, they reset their net connection, then hey presto, new IP
Not a real important point, but one that had to be made nonetheless,
and something I feel everybody calling for IP bans should be made aware of..

Sorry for this Mic but you are also wrong, you are correct but only partly
every time you connect with a dynamic it does change your IP address but only slightly, 100-300 its not that great a difference, so the IP ban would take this into consideration, basicly it would ban the possible range of IP's you ISP would provide.
and after doing some Google work I have also came accross ways to avoid proxies, I never used them so im not sure how they work, but the gist is that they are an IP mask, sending fake info on your IP making it possible to log in, this can also be defeated as im sure forum would explain if he took the time... but he is a very busy bee and cant do everything for us
just thought I would clear this up a little.

Re: Another Feeder...
As above, the IP mask theory is accurate...
But no server admin in their right mind would ban a block of IP addresses, because that effectively bans hundreds of legitimate people connecting to their servers...
Trust me I used to be a server admin
IP bans were purely that, bans made on the offending IP address...
Sane people try not to ban things/people that have not done anything wrong.
And like I said, not ALL ISP's have dynamic IP addresses

yeah thats true but a ip ban can extend to a small range 1,1,1,879-999
the chances of another IP in that range are the same as winning the lottery lol
but still its a very valid point.
